It does have a Triple A ball park feel to it, and that is not a good thing, IMO
i love it. attending games is going to be so much more pleasurable now.

The video board leaves a lot to be desired....or at least the person who works it.
good grief. it was the first game. they'll get the kinks worked out.

they're on their way.

re: tv's for outfield concessions - they might not be done putting up the tv's. i saw a room full of stacks of tv's on my tour thurs.

re: scoreboard - no point in putting it in right field because it would obscure views of tiger stadium (which was one of the main reasons for the orientation of the stadium) and because there was a picnic area planned there originally. there will probably be bleachers so you would be moving the scoreboard from one set of bleachers to another.

lots of small touches will be added, including an arcade which i think is a very cool idea.

front page of the Advocate shows why the helicopter was there. Theres an overhead view of the stadium during the game.

It may have been an Associated Press copter, bec thats who claimed to take that picture.

A couple things I noticed missing:

The Intimidator - are they going to build one or move the old one?

Concession Guys - They were no one walking around selling cokes, peanuts, etc. This would have helped the lines at the concession stands. Are there plans for these guys?

You could still hear Chris, but not the K Lady.

I sat within a few feet of the K Lady in the old Box. She didn't yell to get the crowd into a game like Chris. She only held up her fingers to match the number of Ks.

Kudos to the concession stands for offering a few different items. The had pork sandwiches and brisket sandwiches, plus a few other things. They were out of pork sandwiches before the opening ceremonies though. I'll give them time to get used to the new stadium and not gripe about it though.

There's a scoreboard underneath the grandstand that you can see that shows balls, strikes, outs, and the score. That's all you need.

I'm in the North endzone for the football games. I won't be able to see the new scoreboard. I'm kind of mad, but I'll just turn around a couple of times a game just to check it out.

Dude...you can't see that dinky little thing from LF. The lights are so freakin' blinding that you can BARELY make out the strike count. We'll see if it's better during the day.
