That was in response to you , you brought up the 80's . I said LSU is "historically" better than Iowa . Get it right and don't pick and choose what you respond to

Shocking that Auburn is playing for the title with those statistics.

Most of the attitude you see here is in response to the OP being a retard. I know you want to but he is not worth defending. I was in the crowd that respected Iowa and thought they stand a pretty decent chance of winning. Your brethren has changed that respectful attitude that I once had.

Yeah, how dare I predict an Iowa win and give reasons why I think it will happen. Oh, the nerve!

BrewHawk, have you learned nothing at all from your time on the Rant? The only possible way you have a chance of getting somebody to agree with you is if you say you like your team's chances because Les is an idiot....

And then we'll argue that we have enough talent to overcome our coaching.

You've got one serious hindrance to your prognostications there, Hawk Guy. LSU overlooked an inferior opponent in a disappointing Bowl matchup just a year ago. Won't happen again so soon.

Unfortunately for you guys we weren't in a BCS matchup or playing for a NC.

yeah, I understand. I'd just rather get my arguments in here rather than with my wife. It's a healthier outlet.

You can predict a win while not being baselessly arrogant and negative about your competition, douche.

Show me where I've done that where I wasn't replying to something arrogant or douchy.

Your top 2 RBs compared to our top 2 RBs. LSU's RB's have 70 less carries for about 330 more yards and 14 more touchdowns..

I'm sure our Defense fears this All-World rushing attack.

Toughest schedule in the Big10? It's the Big10, who cares.

This LSU team has played guys like Tre Mason, AJ McCarron, Johnny Manziel. All guys that were considered or won a heisman.

ND is not making it look any better with this performance versus a bad Rutgers team.

If he plays well, you have a shot. If he struggles then I see Iowa with a convincing win.

This is a pretty arrogant statement, chief. "If he plays well, you have a shot"? That is to say that you think Iowa is so much better than LSU, even at full strength we just "have a shot".

Furthermore, your reasoning for why you think you win is absurd.

You think Iowa has the advantage in the run game:
Versus Iowa's three currently ranked opponents, your boys averaged 87.7 ypg rushing, while your opponents averaged 208.7 ypg.

Meanwhile, in LSU's three games vs currently ranked opponents, LSU averages 148 ypg rushing, while allowing opponents 154.7 ypg rushing.

You also think that (since you'll make LSU's offense so one dimensional) your DBs will be able to handle LSU's WRs.

However, in the same three games mentioned above, your boys gave up an average of 214.3 ypg passing, while LSU threw for an average of 233.7 YPG.

Again, your posts have been arrogant, and your "reasoning" is baseless. If you think Iowa is going to blow LSU out, and you have no logical backing, keep that bullshite to yourself.

When people were calling Ohio State overrated, they were well aware of how many games OSU had won in a row, it's a question of the quality of competition they were facing during that win streak that had college football fans skeptical.

There are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics.

I'm not saying they'll blow them out. I'm predicting an 11 point win.

I'll stick withy sentiment that if Jennings doesn't play well you guys really don't have a chance. You've gotta have a QB play a good game if you want to win. That's not arrogant and it's no stretch.

So sorry if you take offense to me thinking that Iowa will win. I've taken a lot worse than that from many of your fellow posters here and am not crying about it.

All we have to go by is how each team performed against a similar level of play. Stats are the units of measurement we use in that quantification.

And if Jennings doesn't play well, we still "have a chance".
You're forgetting the 4 running backs we have that can easily pound the ball right at your horribly overrated DL.
Again, over 200 ypg rushing for your ranked opponents.

That's pretty telling.

If you were actually looking for intelligent discussion, maybe you should've said something other than "you don't have a chance."

Lol. Someone didn't watch 2011 LSU.

We could have Terrance Magee playing QB and would still "have a chance".
