I thought bush didnt participate in combine drills only USC pro day and he ran a 4.33

Not according to LINK which is a pretty legitimate site. And pro-days almost invariably inflate the prospects speed.

This is why I'd choose him over some of the others. Some of the past RB's would definitly be better than anything on the roster but we'd still have S.P. as the guy in charge and with him dedicated to the passing game, I don't see any of the past rb's being as much of difference maker. Or for that matter, Roaf....while leaps and bounds better than what's on the roster now, the OL runs through the interior mostly.

My second choice if that were an option though, would be Muncie at rb. If he could have stayed away from the blow, he'd probably be in the HOF.

I'd really overlooked Earl Campbell's stint on the team when I posted before due to how short and pedestrian his stay was here due to him basically being washed up when he arrived.

Can you imagine Campbell in his prime, with Brees at the helm on this team. Absolutely unstoppable. I was thinking Jackson when I first responded on this thread but the D already looks great, with Campbell in Brees' backfield......who could stop us.

I don't think any other position or player does that.

I remember it well as it happened just outside of Monroe and I really liked Delaney as a player. The hole the kids went into had been dug in Chennault Park to create a huge hill for a water park slide. The hole wasn't exceptionally large in circumference but was extremely deep. Right after this happened they went in and filled it back up....a little bit late obviously. I think there might have been a low fence around the hole, can't recall for sure, but it obviously wasn't enough to keep people out.
Thanks Buddy. Good input.

A really good example of why you can't just look at college production.

If they can get an ILB in the draft it will help them a lot next year.

MOSELY...come on down....and before the hate starts, I know he will probably be gone. But what if?

His time improvement got him closer to #58 from the downside.

Most definitely helped him. Could see him being an option in a wr needy draft but as stacked as this one is in that position....no.

I'd hate to see them give up their 1st and 2nd for any of these guys.....but if I had to choose one of them it would be Mosely, he'd give them something they presently don't have.
I'm an LSU homer but if the same guy came out of...say Neb.....would there be all of this excitement over him. Average size and mediocre speed and basically one year of good college production. If NO drafted him before the 3rd I'd be disappointed and hope for the best.
yep....it sure would. Especially considering how deep this draft is.

One could argue that Colston is a #2 who was forced to be a #1 for us by default.

That's pretty much the way it looks to me, too. Jump balls and using his size to box the defender out is pretty much his game now. And with his age and his knees it probably isn't gonna get any prettier going forward. Wouldn't surprise me if Stills didn't come close or even surpass him in yardage this year.

Good players don't disappear like that.

Why do you want to drag Jimmy Graham into this discussion? :pimp:

I'm gonna take your word for it on that.

This is a 5 page thread of people arguing about agreeing that we need WR(s) in the draft.

I strongly disagree that will be ok with staying put & going into the season with what currently have.

That's pretty much the way I see it too. Colston has got a quite a few chronic injury concerns and is getting up there in age, Moore is gone (although that could be addition by subtraction), who knows what they'll get out of Morgan or for that matter Toon. The only wr they have that I'd bet on being an ascending player is Stills. And it's not like the wr's were a strongpoint of the passing game last year....the strongpoint was rb's and Graham.

But then again we still have Tanner.

I think it would be more than a safe bet to go for the Saints taking an early round wr....I'll personally be surprised if they wait as late as the 3rd.

I don't think me or hoodoo either one were talking about an early round interior lineman. As for myself, 4th or lower where they do tend towards need picks.
Seems like he's been injury prone, too.

:edit: sorry, just read further up the thread where this had been addressed.
