I just respond to some of what I see here. I have a lot of respect for LSU's football team and program.
some posters' attitudes suggest that LSU has never ever lost a football game, that they have won multiple back to back national championships.

None have claimed that. We are responding to Iowa=LSU claims that we disagree with.

I hope Iowa sells out on the run. AJ is more than capable of picking apart a bad defensive backfield trying to cover Odell and Jarvis in man coverage.
If I had to pick my poison, I'd have to go with putting more men in the box to try to stop LSU's running game. That will require at least 8. Better for them to take a chance on Jennings missing Landry/Beckham.

I sure hope Brew is right about playing a 2 deep shell and only putting 7 in the box. That would mean a 250+ rushing night for LSU and a 34-10 type win for LSU. Iowa's only hope is to put 8 in the box and hope Jennings struggles throwing the football. Problem is even with 8 in the box LSU can still run the ball effectively. Auburn put 8-9 in the box against us and we gashed them.
Cool. Auburn rushing yards allowed
231 yds- Missouri
218 yds- Bama
226 yds- Tenn
222 yds- Arkansas
202 yds- Miss St.
Heck everyone that played Auburn ran for over 120 yds except for Western Carolina and Flordia International.

Although I have not been on this board for very long... you could not determine how long I have been a Tiger fan... I was brought up in Tiger Stadium. My parents had season tickets all of my life (and those are so hard to come by that people actually leave them in their will.)
While the poster you are attacking may or may not be vintage in years, you could never tell this by how long they have been posting on this site. I come from the days of Chollie Mac and I have not been posting that long on this board.
As usual, your arguments do not hold up..

Most of the attitude you see here is in response to the OP being a retard. I know you want to but he is not worth defending. I was in the crowd that respected Iowa and thought they stand a pretty decent chance of winning. Your brethren has changed that respectful attitude that I once had.

Northwestern , Ohio State and Wisconsin all put up over 200 yards rushing on Iowa. I like our chances as we are easily as physical and talented as those three.

BTW, the word literate means to be able to read.
I absolutely loathe when a Yank decides that, just because we speak in a nice relaxed cadence, we are illiterate. I would put my IQ and LSU education up against you and yours any day of the week. No, everyone from Louisiana does not row to town in a pirogue. No, everyone from Louisiana does not wrestle gators. No, everyone from Louisiana does not come from the set of "Duck Dynasty".... I, personally, have not even seen one episode.
You can criticize a lot of things, but DON'T talk about me, my intelligence or people from my homeland.

You should definitely be right up there, I think the key to those teams beating us was a balanced offense attack. We do not have enough horses to stop a solid all around offense. Having a QB whom can scramble can't hurt either.
Our hope is to keep your QB from gaining any confidence and making big plays, if we can do that I'd say we have a chance to win.

Lol wut?
I realize the OP has been a complete dingus, but the SEC wankfest is seriously nauseating on here.

Do you go to your friend's house and complain about the food? SEC penis-envy can be a bit nauseating as well.

Iowa has been playing college football longer than LSU (only 4 years though)
LSU has 750 wins, 45 bowl appearances, 3 Championships.
Iowa has 600 wins, 26 bowl appearances.
Your argument is invalid.
My grandchildren were watching "The Little Mermaid" recently.. In the words of Ursula, the Seawitch.... "You're playing with the big boys now".
You just don't get it. Could you win? Yes, that is possible. That is why we actually play the game. Will you win? No... not if our boys show up.
YOUR schedule against OURS... It is like comparing vienna sausage to filet mignon. Our talent is amazing. Our assistant coaches are the best in ANY conference. Without our QB's injury, it wouldn't even be fair to put you on the field.
Your ONLY advantage is that our QB is trying to fill some pretty big shoes. Sure our offense is having to make some adjustments but seriously, you could not hang with our gauntlet of a schedule... Don't act like your record even begins to compare with ours.

Sorry we can't compare in making the world famous cuisine that is from Iowa.

It isn't so much an sec wankfest as it is a realization of how unimpressive and misleading an 8-4 record in the big 10 can be. See Minnesota v Syracuse. Go check Nebraska's schedule and show one win you'd consider impressive. Then consider your most impressive victory on the year is against said Nebraska team playing their third string, senior walk on qb. I'm becoming less impressed with Iowa by the hour..has nothing to do with the sec, but I'm also now understanding the concept of why so many college football fans were clamoring that Ohio State and Michigan State were overrated.
Posted on 12/28/13 at 12:56 am to MattLSU
@MATTLSU We beat Neb and Minn both on the road by a combined 33 points. We also had the toughest schedule in the B1G.
Michigan State has the best defense in the country, without question. Ohio State won like 25 straight.

What I do know is that Mettenberger pretty much made your season, so my game prediction goes from a pick 'em to advantage Iowa by about 10 points...worse if Jennings plays like a true freshman.
1. we definintly weren't a pick em before
2. Ever heard of jeremy hill?
