You mean like a team fresh off a bcs bowl? Or a home and away with a B12 team? SEC doesn’t know much about a home and away series in the non-con. You’re more into the “neutral field” games in Texas and the FCS games that don’t count against your BCS resume.

I know Iowa isn’t the name brand that Michigan or Nebraska is, but I hope some of you watched that Michigan KSU game and appreciated the fact that you don’t play them. They’re garbage.

Its all in good fun. We know your team is more talented. I’ve heard from a number of people that your fans were a lot of fun in ’05. A little friendly trash talk between teams that never play won’t hurt anyone.

I love that the only analysis is whether or not LSU shows up. As if Iowa has zero actual control over the game. Its not that Iowa could win, its that LSU could lose.

O-line - Brandon Scherff wouldve been a top 20 pick this year (announced hes returning for senior yr next year). Van Sloten will be drafted. All the other guys will most likely be drafted or on nfl roster at some point. KF is an o-line mastermind.

D-line - Probably a push, LSU slight advantage, several of our 4 star recruits are just getting their feet wet. I would guess LSU more athletic but Iowa more disciplined.

Linebackers - No argument.

Tight Ends - Fiedorwicz is a 3rd to 4th rounder. Not sure what LSU has.

ST - Mike Meyer holds school record for consecutive PATs (well over 100) and was a Lou Groza finalist. KMM is in top 3 in country in punt return average.

@AirRaidTT We lost to NIU FOUR MONTHS AGO.

Also, talent level. Lets talk about talent level. Iowa is more talented than LSU on the O-Line, D-Line, Linebackers, Tight Ends, and special teams. You have the obvious advantage at most of the skill positions but theres more to football than that.

@MATTLSU We beat Neb and Minn both on the road by a combined 33 points. We also had the toughest schedule in the B1G.

Michigan State has the best defense in the country, without question. Ohio State won like 25 straight.
