Sorry for your loss man. My Pops died last October and we never made it to a game together. I'm glad you have that memory with your Dad.

That was a great game to go to together. I appreciate your tribute to him here. My dad is approaching 70, don't even want to think about it, I'm still effected by George Rodrigue dying yesterday. Wish people lived longer.

RIP to a great tiger fan. Prayers to the son.

Sorry for your loss!!!

I think it's an amazing thing that when good (e.g. birth of a child) and bad (e.g. death of a family member) times come, we can come on a semi-anonymous website and share our joy or grief with those that have a common love of sports. We remember the good times we had with those we lost and anticipate what is to come with our children. We live and die with sports as a common bond... It feels good to be able to have an outlet like this and feel compassion from those who have have experienced similar things.

Once again, my condolences to you and your family OP... God bless!

I must admit, my fondest memory of him is sitting in the Superdome with him on January 4, 2004, watching LSU beat Oklahoma for the national championship. Had to post it.

To me this is what football is all about.

Sorry to hear. Just think of all the hardcore fans who passed away before that game. At least y'all got to share that.

Sorry for your loss, it is never easy losing a parent. I'm glad you have great memories and that his suffering has ended.
