No mention of this in any scrimmage report. Also no mention of a punt return by Sting...What was your "buddy" seeing?

Honestly I thought there was no punt coverage at all during scrimmage. Or maybe that’s just for the Spring Game.

You realize that O isn’t going to tell you everything that went on in the scrimmage, right?

Think of it as keeping some things a secret for as long as possible, like just how good Stingley and Emery are.

He will. Perfect slot receiver. Actually he could line up at X and Y too.

The coaches try to keep the experienced guys as pumped up as they can, while also trying to keep the freshmen humble. They didn't give Fournette or Guice much pub as freshmen in camp either.

Not to hijack your thread but wanted to add some things I was told about the scrimmage. I’ll try to bullet point them.

- No worries about the “they says it’s different but they’ll just go back and do the same over again.” It is indeed different offensively this year.

- Offense did NOT go under center even once today. Mostly 11 personnel.

- Jamar Chase was the best PLAYER on the field. Made some unbelievable plays.

- Myles struggled a bit his first series but really hit his stride after.

-Sting not only returned the punt, but some of the moves he put on people were just absurd.

- He did get beat once where he stumbled covering a post route. Looked like his feet got tangled as he went up. Had good position until the stumble. The pass did get caught for a TD

- Peter Parrish looks pretty good in drills but struggles running the offense in team scenarios. He’s young though so that’s to be expected.

- Ty Davis is a massive human being.

- Emery is the absolute real deal

-CEH had a good day too.

- Divinity looked like he tweaked an ankle but was making plays before. Injury didn’t appear too bad.

- Obviously it will be interesting to see Burrow running the offense. Everybody pretty much knows that he didn’t play today. Delpit did not play either.

-Tempo was a big part of today. Didn’t have it timed but they were running multiple plays a minute and not just 2.

Also said a l portion of starting o line was out today. Said there wasn’t much time time to throw and that’s likely the reason why.

Based on O's comments during the presser, Brennan isn't there yet.

You have to wonder, if he isn't there yet in his 3rd year on campus...he might never get there.
