He needs to get all the first team reps the next two weeks. If he doesn’t then CBK is even more stubborn than Les Miles. Joke.

He's been terrible in every practice the media has been able to watch. He's not the answer.

The starter has been terrible in every game this year other than Southeastern, a game which MVB played just as good or maybe even better than him

If he looks so terrible in practice I wonder why he looks so good last year at times at Mississippi State something doesn’t add up

He was good in the only game action he’s had this season, shite opponent or not.

There is quite literally zero excuse not to throw him out there and see what he has.

ETA: Terrible in every practice is a lie

Nuss has been terrible in every game the fans have been able to watch.

MVB might be a lights on player.

Whether it’s Nuss, no run game, poor pass pro that doesn’t allow Nuss to consistently set his feet and throw - all can be helped with a more mobile QB.

4 times on Saturday, we had WRs streaking 10 yards behind the defense. All were under thrown 15+ yards. We only caught 1. 1 drew a PI.

That was the same narrative when Rohan Davey was QB. And Rohan would tell you himself, that he was a terrible "Practice Player". But when the lights come on, you saw the talent show out. Van Buren SHOULD get some reps with the 1's the next 2 weeks. He SHOULD be part of the gameplan moving forward.

I've seen media mention this but he might not be a good practice player. Game film doesn't lie. Last year for a horrible Miss State team he looked like a future superstar if surrounded by talent. He kinda carried that over in Southeastern game. Last year he looked way ahead of what a freshman should and looked just as composed last week.

I'm not saying he's the "answer" I'm just saying it's unfair to the defense to keep trotting a clearly hurt QB out there every week to at least see what you have behind him to give a shot. Who knows? Maybe he sparks the offense. Didn't you bring him here for exactly the reason we're seeing now - in case Nuss gets hurt with the potential to be a future starter?

If he is horrible next year will be worse than this year. Why would Kelly bring in a horrible qb transfer. I think yall are fos with this.

Then this could be a Rohan Davey- Josh Booty scenario, look how that turned out.

I know right? He might make terrible throws and even worse decisions, can't have that.

He may not be but how much worse can it get?
At least with VB you have a guy that can make plays with his feet .

Right let's take the media's opinion and not what we saw with our own eyes. Before we even get to how bad Nuss is playing.

I posted what one of the radio guys, Hester, I think, shared about something Rohan said some time back. Effectively, he said that he always looked bad in practice but good in games because the nature of how you run plays in practice is not "natural" compared to game play (Hester said that was true), so instinctive players can look bad in practice and great in games.

That might be what is happening here.

I have a bad feeling this is going to be like the 2016 Jax State game when it took the entire crowd booing the Brandon Harris offense to cause Les to finally play Etling. And it worked, Etling came in and the offense immediately started working. It was like changing one bad car part and then the engine hums.

Be ready to boo. Use your voices. Otherwise we'll watch this season go down the tubes as Nuss doesn't see open receivers and throws INTs.

I am really not trying to be an arse but this would be criminal to the kid. The offensive scheme and entire system is broken. You put that poor kid in there and he is going to look worse than Nuss and his confidence is going to get ruined. He will transfer out. For as bad as everyone thinks Nuss was on Saturday Nuss has bailed out the offense for the last two years. Now hes clearly hurt and not able to make a lot of the throws hes used to making but MVB is not someone that can anticipate the throws over the middle or in the intermediate game. He can throw the ball deep but if you cannot throw with anticipation thats where defenses carve you up unless you have a good running game to offset that. And we do not. Which wold mean we would basically mirror the Anthony Jennings/Danny Etling offenses. Throw screes, check downs, and bombs. But we don't have a running attack to combat that.

I don't think anyone realizes how bad our scheme and offensive system is. Second String QB is every fanbase' favorite player but this is not the answer.
