Baseball America's projection came out this morning. We're a 3 seed in Minneapolis.
ETA: Minnesota's ball park has a seating capacity of 1,420. LINK

I think this week, they'll update several times, if not daily later in the week.

I'm honestly not trying to be "negative". Even before this weekend, I felt that we needed 2 wins either at Auburn or at 1 win there and 2 at the SECT because our RPI and road/neutral record is so bad.
State is in over us. Period. That sweep sealed it. They won when they had to. A one and done in the SECT wouldn't affect that. UK/Tamu is more interesting. You have to ask yourself if 2 SEC wins (vs an easier schedule) is worth 20+ RPI spots. And if either team wins a couple in the SECT, that makes it even easier to choose them over LSU.
Here's what is so frustrating: 1 more SEC win and it would have been a lock. OR winning those 4 midweek games away vs ULL (2), SELU, and Tulane. 8 wins away from home looks so much better than just 4 and that gets ignored completely and our RPI is mid/lower 30s instead of mid 40s.

Just think if we had held onto those late leads against Ole Miss and S. Carolina. I bet our RPI would be 10 spots higher right now.

We let a lot of games get away late this year. It was really frustrating to watch.
This is a whole different topic, but I wonder why we didn't give Cabrera a shot again.

With a 2 run lean, Peterson.
Beyond that, nobody.

I don't think LSU makes the tournament even with a win tbh.
I agree.

UK/Tamu is more interesting.
Past history shows that 13-17 SEC teams no matter rpi have a hard time getting in. Look at us in 2011
Clemson had a similar resume then us 2 of the last 5 years and got in both times.

I dunno. Maybe they thought doing both was too much for him to handle. He obviously started finding it at the plate the second half of the year.

You absolutely throw Hess if the game is in doubt. There’s a very good chance this is his last game at LSU if you lose. He’s on 5 days rest and only through 70 or so pitches against Auburn. If it were me I’d go:
Bush till you can- Beck or Fontenot if you have a lead or straight to Hess if it’s tied or your down.

4 days. They could use today as a bullpen in a close situation though.

Well your opinion would be wrong then
In all projections we are in right now and a win would definitely put us in unless lots of upsets happen in other conference tournaments

Last year South Carolina had an rpi of 30 and a 13-17 record and didn’t get in
Auburn had a rpi 7 spots lower with a 16-14 record and got in
Auburn had a rpi 7 spots lower with a 16-14 record and got in

How are either of those relevant? TaMu’s RPI is 20. UK’s is 25. And no team we are talking about is 16-14.

Similar enough
Why don’t you give me an example of a team with a rpi around 40 and a 15-15 sec record that didn’t get in?

Unc in 15 and 16 had an rpi of 19 and 24 and a 13-16 and 13-17conference record and didn’t get in
Is that a good enough example?
