Disagree. He'll need two years to change the culture of this team. His over-the-top frustration with special teams aside, I think he is a solid choice to lead the Gators back into the chase. JMO.

That program pays for their schooling, and if you can't perform up to standards than you don't get the benefits. He's trying to turn that program into the hardnosed team it should be. Either you do it right or you're gone. Now he better do it for everyone not just those two....but I don't disagree with him.

If I'm Florida fan, today I'm wondering, "How in the hell did we end up with this madman?"

Any coach would look lost if his only options available are two true frosh QBs who have never started a game... and on the road, against the #1 team with a suffocating defense, in a stadium filled with screaming madmen with the noise level putting a jet engine to shame.

It is very hard to get up for a game that no matter how much you prepare and motivate yourself you are certain you are going to end up losing. He did a pretty good job motivating his team and not giving up till the end even though they were outmatched in all phases of the game.

Did you see Texas' defense last year?

Texas was #7 in the country in total defense last year. Which is amazing considering how atrocious their offense was with Gilbert.
Defense was not the problem.

But let's not let facts get in the way.

Seems kinda logical that this would be the case.

It seems a bit extreme otherwise.

I think he misspoke--he's an emotional guy. I can't believe he actually meant out of the program.

Muschamp had his outmanned team playing hard for the whole game, got to give them credit for that. I don't know how good a coach he is. I think Florida took a big chance on the hire and only time will tell if he is the man for them. That being said, I will never feel sorry for him or the Gaytors and I hope we can only continue to pay them back for all the past misery that they have dealt out to us.

It's going to take a while for them to get the kind of players to run the offense he want's to run. The have a bunch of kids recruited to play a spread .There lack of Offense has put a lot of pressure on the defense. I did think he was somewhat over rated as a DC.

Muschamp and Saban seem like horrible people. I know, personally, that Saban is. Muschamp looks like he learned well from his teacher. Important lesson: find teachers who teach good lessons, not evil men who may be successful according to the world's standards.

I think major programs are going to have to quit taking coaches who are assistants under good coaches and making them head coaches. There is a world of difference in the positions and most are simply not ready.

I know it is difficult to come into the SEC as a rookie coach with zero previous coaching experience and set the world on fire, but i had no idea that Dooley and Muschamp had such a tremendous learning curve.

The SEC is not a league for a football program to experiment with an unproven product as a head coach.
