I have no problem having shitty visitor locker rooms. It’s part of the gamesmanship. Even pro teams do it.
I visited Chelsea’s soccer stadium and they said they consulted with actual psychologists and doctors to help design the most uncomfortable room imaginable. They put the hangers too high and the seating benches too low to help increase the risk of a pulled muscle. They intentionally dim the lights to make the players brains think they’re in a less intense environment. They put everything too close together. The exit has to remain open by code and therefore blocks the whiteboard in there to help draw up plays.
ETA: looking at the room it was obvious. The benches were comically low and the room was barely lit

What’s the point of making them better? They are in there for maybe a total hour during the time they are there. It’s to get dressed and somewhere to station for half time. They aren’t trying to make them feel comfortable with facilities. That would just be dumb.

We'll, we can't have Mike outside of the visiting team locker anymore to make them uncomfortable, so a shitty locker room will have to do.

It shouldn’t be worth a damn, you are the visiting team.

What they should do is get a team of hypnotherapists, audiologists, interior designers, and spa experts to create a dimly lit, calm ambience, with white noise and a babbling brook in the middle. Big laz-e-boys in each locker that are stuck in the reclining position.
Lull those frickers to sleep.

I dont even know if we actually have permanent lockers, or if we make teams bring their own
Those grey monstrosoties are permanent inside the locker room. I've been in there during many a Bayou Country Superfest and can confirm.

We’ve got a DC to buy out. We can’t be thinking about upgrading visiting locker rooms.

Well I'm sure Mike the tiger wouldn't mind sharing his cage every now and then. Hell, they would even get their own swimming pool.

Just wait'll he sees how accommodating our defense is. They won't even want to go into the locker room at halftime after they see that.

I'm not contributing a dime to TAF for the visiting team fund!

I think they should shovel Mikes shite in there all week, turn the AC off and let it ferment before shoveling it our right before the visitors arrive. Fug em

IF the SEC wanted to do something about it, make a basic boilerplate guest locker room setup that they require all stadiums to build and adhere to. Nothing special but adequate space and facilities.

Good. It's not supposed to be nice.
Here's some from around the SEC. They're all bare bones, as they should be
Arkansas

Alabama

Tennessee

Ole Miss

Georgia

Texas A&M
Miss State has a nice touch...their bathroom for visiting teams

Florida

When we have money to spend on upgrades does anyone want to spend it on the visitors locker room?

I am all aboard on painting the visitors locker room pink, that would be awesome.

O should drop a load in a corner of the visitor's locker room.

Well, let’s see the SC visitors locker room then
Posted on 10/21/20 at 4:01 pm to sicboy
I remember when we went to Ole Miss in the mid 90s, it was one of the worst. Always smelled like someone took a crap in a locker and tried to cover it up with some Cramer spray.

Are they air conditioned and have a place to change? Yes? Then STFU.
Yes, the football one is. I was in TS a few years back doing some preseason setup work for a booster club. We went into the visitor locker room to cool off and take a break. Yes, it is austere but itis functional and it is very close to the visitor bench or easily accessed.

He never brought that up when he was here. Funny.
