I'm not missing that at all. After every loss this year you time and time again had someone spill the "Matt McMahon is _____ against P5 teams!!" stat like it actually meant something.
I was as critical as anyone of McMahon this year, but that shouldn't be part of anyones argument for why he's a bad coach, at this stage anyway.

Perfect example of what you’re saying is Phillips yesterday. He was the key to our win vs UGA but instead of increased minutes yesterday and sticking to what was working he went from 25 minutes vs UGA to 16 vs Vandy and hardly any in the second half. This was a constant for McMahon this season, the stretches where we did look competitive he abandoned and kept going back to players and things that never worked.

Or the coach with the most NCAA tournament success in Murray St. history. Depends on how you want to spin it.
We can say its a bad hire all day and night, but LSU pretty much had to give a long term contract to any coach that was somewhat successful. Coaches weren’t exactly busting down the doors to come coach a team with no players and the possibility of major probation.
