You're being a bit extreme....Ohio State did just fine when Urban Myers left over an abuse cover up
Big difference is OSU was dealing with an one assistant coach and the coaches adult wife, LSU dealing with student athletes and students and it covered up for male football players.

O is completely on notice, and Pelini and Woodward are already discussing buyout offers.

It’s probably well worth it for Orgeron to chip in on the buyout.

On notice how? Strictly on field play, or combined with the USA Today story?

Please let this be true.
My question to you and I realize you cannot/will not answer....either you are deeeeply connected or everyone in that office building knows these same things. Which?

If they would make O pay the buyouts of his hires. Bet hires would have been totally different.

He’s dependent on them, so why not?

All of the above... SW has his hands full trying to navigate all the Title IX stuff right now, and there is a very real possibility it could blow up to the point that O is caught in the middle... Right now, all eyes are on Verge because he had direct knowledge of the Drake Davis incident and did nothing with it. But if the rabbit hole gets deeper and they have any proof whatsoever on O, SW will fire him before the ink gets dry on whatever news article breaks the story.

He better have a real plan.

In his contract, there will be clauses about stuff like this that basically pays him zero. In fact there may be other items that will protect the university.
I did a little digging and wrongful termination suits from coaches are very common, and they almost always end in a settlement. So it seems Rick Pitino, even though he was completely disgraced at Louisville with a few different scandals at the end of his career there and was fired with cause, successfully sued and got a settlement out of the school after the fact. Even though I read where a legal analyst said he would have a very difficult time with his suit because the cause language in his contract was vague and put a high burden of proof on him to prove 0 guilt and that any jury in the state would be heavily biased against him, Louisville still paid him to go the frick away to avoid further trouble.
If O gets fired over the Title IX situation, he’s likely getting a much lower negotiated buyout with strict NDAs attached up front to avoid the potential legal bullshite after. Because he would try to sue, otherwise. I think our entire fanbase knows he would.

Thanks to all for some great input on the coaching situation, but what about the player's responsibility? You had upperclassmen making mental mistakes last night. Freshmen don't stand over players & gloat.....freshmen should know better than dropping the ball before he crosses the goal line to showboat. That is fixed in the locker room. We have a player culture problem that has to be fixed in the locker room, not the coach's office alone.
Who own's the 2021 team?

The 4th down call last night was awful....totally defeated the team there... I knew the blowout was on after that call
Did you see Deculus get completely destroyed on that play? Embarrassing

There’s that key word- proof.

Couldn’t agree more, and so far I’ve not heard of a solid one being in place

I'm hoping they force Os hand to have a legit search firm and find a good candidate.

Does Woodward have the full confidence of people to replace Orgeron? He did give Pelini over 2 mil when there was no market for him

What the alternative? Woodward is the AD and he’s highly liked and respected.
