Mullen's record is 69-46 at MSU? That is not very impressive.

Mullen to FL would suck. There is only so much talent he can get to Starkville. He can get tons at FL

People that don't think Mullen is a damn good coach still surprises me.

Will anybody care to look at their record before he came there, and their offensive prowess? If I'm not mistaken, every single year+ starting QB he has had, has broken some record of the previous QB whether it be passing or running. It's ridiculously hard to recruit at a mudhole cow school like Miss St (no offense), yet with scraps from different SEC recruiting grounds, he has competed every year only with 2 losing seasons (his first year and last year after he lost Dak Prescott and a shite ton of seniors).

His resume is ridiculous from his time as an OC and QB coach, and from what he has accomplished at Miss St in what was the toughest division in college fb up until 2 years ago. Look what Scott Frost did at UCF, taking a 0-12 team and going 6-7 and then 11-0. Look what Kiffin has done at FAU. Taking a team that has gone 3-9 4 of the past 5 years, and go 9-3, exploring their offense in the process. Look what Richt has done in 2 years with Miami. Look what Taggart did to that once awful USF program. If you are good HC, you can destroy with Florida recruits. Think of what LSU could have been had we had Dan Mullen and Dak Prescott with all this Louisiana talent. We could have destroyed the league. Dan Mullen with Narcisse would wreck shop every year.

Sucks that we don't know what the whim of Ed O is day to day regarding LSU's offensive identity. I hope to God we don't go backwards if Canada leaves.

It is truly a shame we don’t have an AD with two brain cells to rub together.

Mullen would have been a rock solid hire to take over from Miles when the pipe dreams fell through and instead we went with a guy that no other team in the country would have even interviewed.

That a large portion of our fanbase not only accepted the hire but unquestionably celebrate it would be comical if it wasn’t so sad.

Good for LSU? Yeah right. A loss to Florida still hurts our SEC record just the same and we already got drubbed by him in Starkville.

Look, someone with some sense.

Mullen will be a monster at uf that will have them competing for sec championships every year. Recruiting is very easy at if especially when thay are winning. Program will give him anything he wants. He still isnt going to be saban, but uf will be good with him.

Tennessee would be a great move for LSU as far as Mullen is concerned imo. Florida would be a disaster as he would finally have talent. If he goes to Tennessee, the gumps get him every year with tons more resources than he currently has now, he won’t be a pain in our arse at Moo State, and the Bulldogs go back to scraping by with 6-6 “good years”.

Not sure why Mullen to UF is so great for LSU.

UF just upgraded over Shark Fricker.

Mullen to UT woulda been better for LSU.

Gotta recruit them there.

The last goober to coach at Florida couldn't pull in top 10 classes, either.

Mullen has recruited extremely well for a school like MSU

I think he could easily do it at a school like Florida

I mean people said herman can't recruit and now he has a top 3 class year one with prospects all over the country.

Mullen is very likable and has a nice relationship with his players. I am sure he can attract the best of the best. Its a bit difficult to do that at a school like MSU

No it's not good for LSU at all. His limitations in facilities and recruiting a player at State are no longer an issue.

I would rather play against a well coached Mullen team at State than one every year at Florida.

No slam against Mississippi State in this just Florida has more assets.

He is certainly a good coach, but let's see how he can recruit.

He pulled top 25 classes to Miss State, beat us for a few MS guys we wanted, poached some good LA talent as well.

Losing to Florida, if we do, does little or nothing to affect our situation in the West.

Losses to Florida cost us SEC West titles in 1996 and 2006. Losses to Florida cost us and Texas A&M a shared SEC West title with Alabama in 2012.

the current situation, the one where Alabama is a powerhouse means that we cannot compete

Why not? Auburn can.

I’d much rather Mullen be at msu. UF has far more upside than MSU with Mullen.

UF has proven that they botch the HC position more often than not. Mullen is a home fun imo and I don’t like it. The last thing LSU needs is for UF to go back to being a powerhouse.

Alabama's recruiting dominance will end when Saban leaves. It won't even be close to what it is today. That will certainly help LSU recruiting. We lose a ton of talent to that shithole.

Miles to Moo State!!!!!
Good God. That's about as bad for LSU as Merrlins to UF.
Neither are slouches as head coach and best scenario if Dan left MSU would be both of them coaching OOC.
LSU would've done well to offer him instead of our ra- rah figurehead after firing Miles.
