Fantastic comeback but I worry about these slow starts.
We will not get any ref home cooking in the Dance. The powers that be know the narrative they want—Caitlin Clark and Iowa vs South Carolina in the final. To them, Angel Reese is last year’s news. They want the announcers to repeat ad nauseam: “WhAt HaPpEnEd To LsU??”

There is zero evidence of this. Angel Reese and LSU’s women’s basketball team are 1A and 1B to Caitlyn Clark as it comes to tv viewers. LSU has received the prime tv spot several times over SC.
If the tv execs had a choice, the Iowa/LSU rematch is what they are drooling over.

She will definitely have to hit the portal hard this offseason. While I still believe our recruiting misses were a result of big time recruits wanting immediate playing time elsewhere—and worried that Reese and HVL might return—it’s still frustrating we could not capitalize on the NC and the media exposure to haul in a blue chip class.
But yes, definitely part of the whiffs was CKM left most of the heavy duty recruiting to Redus and he got his arse kicked.

Then again, they go through stretches where they are the best team in the country. And yes, that includes South Carolina, we proved that in first half of the game we played.
