MSN Sports has even gone so far as to predict Eitling to be a "dud" in their weekly "stud-dud" column and another writer states that even the return of Arden Key will not be enough to contain Nick Fitzgerald.

Herby remains Herby predicting the moo-state win at home.

What say you Tiger Droppings loyalists?

I say we run their cow bell ringing bumpkin asses out of Wade-Davis and shite into the open mouths and beds of these nay-sayers...

Tigers 27 - Miss. State 13

Herby also predicted LSU to make the playoffs the past three years

He's usually wrong when it comes to LSU

Classic trap game, but I'll be surprised if Moo U pulls the upset.

I've never understood why fans care so much what the national media says. It's not really a criticism, I just don't give a shite what they say. It only matters what happens during the games. It always sorts itself out.

I will say this, it is not inconceivable that Fitzgerald goes off for a lot of rushing yards. We have seen this against Aranda at times when protection breaks down. He needs to call this game just like Louisville with Jackson.
Keep him in the pocket and get pressure with 4 if you can.

I say football is played on the field, not in people's mouths.

37-13 Tigas with us giving up a late garbage TD. Herbie will choke on this Tiger Dick as we march on to the ship.

I thought a "trap game" was a potential upset due to the game being sandwiched between two much tougher opponents. For example, if LSU played Oklahoma, then Miss St, then Bama - it would've reasonable to call the MSU game a trap game.

But that isn't the case here. MSU is clearly the toughest opponent through 5 weeks. If LSU loses, it isn't gonna be because of looking ahead at next week's game

So what

A) I've seen many here on this board that think we stand a better chance of losing than winning
B) I've seen a couple here on this board that outright think we'll lose
C) One can not assume they did more than look at stats, not the games, and say the BYU offensive numbers looked like the avg for the last 5 yrs and extrapolate that into predictable results
D) They WANT Fitz to be the next Tebow. That bias is playing into their expectations. He hasn't shown that yet.
E) That D has made some good plays, but actually had some bad games. For that D to have an impact LSU has to make some mistakes. The spectacular "sports center" plays bias them more than the body of work.

Me, I'd rather make assumptions about their poor preparation and logic (as above) and watch it come true.

This has a silver lining though. When they have egg on their face they tend to "vote it away". In other words many in the media, who vote in AP Poll, who think this way are, in a way, forced to reverse course when they swing so far to one direction and make bad assumptions. That reverse course is in their votes.

Every analyst/expert wants to be the one that makes "the call" that makes them look like they know what they're talking about. So, they look through the list of games and find one that has a chance of happening and then spin it to fit their narrative. You see the same thing weekly in fantasy football.
