DJ LeMahieu

He was a 2nd round pick as a draft-eligible sophomore. He's not the most surprising for baseball.

I'll raise you Brian Wilson. He was good, not great in college, was a 24th round draft pick, then became the best closer in baseball for a few years.

Andrew Whitworth went from a 2nd rounder playing spot duty at guard for Cincinnati to a All-Pro left tackle in a few years and he will likely be a NFL Hall of Famer.

Dude, everybody thought Whit would be a beast in the NFL, just like he was in high school and college.

I played sports against Whitworth growing up, and I can assure you, everyone expected him to have the career he has had.

He has been "can't miss" at every level he has played.

Danny McCray
Al Woods

Duop Reath
Trendon Watford (didn't perform like a 5 star at LSU. Was good, but didn't make a difference like a guy like Naz Reid, happy he's found some consistency in the NBA).

Clark was very good in college especially his Sr year.

I really thought Terrace Marshall was gonna be good in the NFL so his career has surprised me. He hasn't done anything except of course catch a game winning pass against the Saints one time.

Trey Palmer going on to set records at Nebraska and becoming a WR3 alongside Chris Godwin and Mike Evans has certainly been surprising.

I submit Eugene Daniel

This guy was drafted in the 8th round in 1984 behind two other LSU DBs. I remember my dad bitching about him as a kid always getting burned in the secondary. Then he goes on and sets longevity records with the Colts! Thirteen years and an Indy legend!

DJ Chark and Duke Riley have both been a surprise to me too.

Good enough to go undrafted. Nobody expected him to have a long NFL career.

Tyrann Mathieu. Obviously not due to lack of talent. Simply because of his personal issues and the way his college career ended. Kudos to him for turning his life around.

The answer is Will Harris.

As a member of the Astros, Harris was named an American League All-Star in 2016, won the 2017 World Series, and, in 2019, pitched in a combined no-hitter and an immaculate inning.

The Rockies selected him in the ninth round of the 2006 MLB draft.

Dude was here during the Smoke Laval years.

Danny McCray was awful at LSU and spend 5 years in the NFL.

I was so glad to see Danny McCray leave. I was like thank God I'll never have to watched that dude get burned again.

Next thing I know I'm watching the Cowboys opener and Dany McCray is getting burned.

I fully expect the Cowboys to draft Major Burns and have to watch him miss tackles for 4-5 years.

Didn't Danny Etling play like 7 or 8 years in the NFL as a backup?
