Lester Ricard made it for a couple of years in the NFL after transferring to Tulane.

Didn't Hawkins come in with Bowe and Davis and to to JUCO after 04?
Yeah, and ended up at Cal starting alongside Desean Jackson in 2005-2007.
Honorable mention All PAC-10 WR in 2005 and 2nd team WR in 2006 & 2007.

Lavell Hawkins
couldn't find his name on any LSU roster. I'm missing a couple years though. Was he on campus longer than a semester?
He was on campus for literally like two or three weeks before he left.

Can't think of his name, but the running back from Dallas that was buried on the depth chart, but transferred to Houston and did quite well for himself.

Doesn't really count bc he went ivy but hatch started putting up good numbers after he left.

Best all-around athlete to transfer from LSU would be Alvin Dark

Yeah, he did turn out to do a few things on the field...but since when does enrolling at La Tech after twice failing LSU's entrance exam count as a transfer? For what it's worth, I'm not sure he tells an accurate story about flunking an exam to get in.

Alvin Dark didn't transfer from LSU, he joined the USMC officer training program which was at ULL durning the war.
Like Dub Jones joined the Navy officer training program, which was at Tulane.
Both the Navy and Marinea allowed their officer in training to join the college team they where attending.
The US Army would not let it's officer in training join the college team they where attending.
This is the reason the LSU 1943 team only had 2 starters returning from 1942, Van Buren and Joe Nagato (yes he is the only Japanese American playing college football in WWII that I know in 1943).
Joe Nagato would go on to join the most famous Japanese American out fit of the war, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team.
These are not what you would call transfers just World War II broke out and many answered the called to arms, some going to the Army, Marines and the Navy.
One LSU football player was even with "The Most Decorated Platoon" of the war, the 18-man Intelligence and Reconnaissance Platoon from the 99th Infantry Division along with four Forward Air Controllers. In this one day of fighting, the 18 men of this I&R platoon inflicted between 400-500 German casualties, nearly destroying a battalion of the German 3rd Parachute Division. The German attack plan in this sector was seriously disrupted to the point that they were delayed roughly 24 hours. In those 24 hours, Kampfgruupe Peiper was to have reached the Meuse River. Instead, they had only advanced a few miles, and the 99th and 2nd Infantry Divisions had time to set up defenses at Elsenborn Ridge, where they stopped the Germans cold.
