Kelly knows he screwed up and had an affair

Does LSU have proof of this? Does anyone? Like iron clad proof?

I don't think any possible affair has anything to do with any of this.

so why not also have to approve his firing.

You really think the BOS did not approve this? C'mon. That is ridiculous.

LSU's statement had Woodward thanking the BOS for their help. And, then the BOS held a press conference to discuss the firing. If they did not approve it they would have never held that press conference.

"400 rounds of golf" rumor
"he didn’t know all the players names" rumor
"drinking wine in the office" rumor
"wife filed for divorce" untrue. Kelly filed for divorce.

Its one of the only professions where performance does not come into play. Sucks.

34-14 is not bottoming out. Unless you specify in the contract that not making the playoff is grounds for termination, by any measure, 71% win rate is considered above average by most. And considering the starting point of 11-11 the prior two years and roster condition on arrival, statistically it's going to be hard to demonstrate "bottoming out" with specific language that states otherwise. Ultimately, If coaches know that its 90% win rate or get fired, they will require large buyouts to leave an existing job and come to LSU.
