Do the numbers even matter for us? Most teams, for example, Alabama spend their money on a certain type of player who fits their system. What are we spending money on? What kind of player are we trying to get. I’m convinced we just try and get the highest rated player we can get and hope it turns out well. Just an example here, we get Deedon Thomas, a great pg, but he’s a traditional pass first type of player. The year before that we get the Tulane kid, who is more of a scoring type of pg. To me this is just more evidence that Mcman is desperate to figure out what works cause he has no identity or style. So what do ya get, a mesh of diffrent styles with no team chemistry. For this guy to actually get us into the tourney it’s gonna take him just getting lucky with a roster that fits each other. Combine that with his bland offense and high school style defense and the probability of him getting us to the post season is insanely low. It would take the perfect storm for that to even have a chance of happening.

For McMahon we could have a $100 million dollar team and we might hit 10 SEC wins with a lot of luck. You still have to play basketball well and his teams don’t

Imagine being a Kentucky fan. You ran off a championship winning HC because he wasn't good enough and you had so much money/prestige that every great coach would be begging for the job. Then, every great coach turned you down and you had to hire alum you didn't want. Two years in you're opening the SEC Tournament, which is one of two state holidays in Kentucky, struggling to beat the losingest coach in the SEC with an (alleged) $20M roster.
Has anyone told Pope all you need to win is a LOT money and actual coaching doesn't matter?

This right here is how we lose a series to Sacramento State
Agreed.
Been saying it and was raked over the coals for it, the baseball program needs its own 5-7% rev share. It doesn’t need to splitting a share.
No reason the WBB and MBB teams get so much.

I like baseball and I'm glad LSU has been so good for 40+ years. But the reality is no one outside of Louisiana knows LSU lost to Sacramento State....or that they even played a series. Not that much many more nationwide know LSU won the national championship last year.
In contrast, the NCAA Tournament is one of the most watched sporting events in the US. If you become a great basketball program your school is known nationwide. If you're a great baseball program most people nationwide still think "there's such a thing as college baseball?"
