2004,2006, or 2016? I was at the 2004 and 2006 games and AU fans were literally apologizing after the ref jobs.

2014. The one LSU game I haven't been at or watched on tv since I moved to Louisiana and became a fan and it's the worst loss we've had in that span. I was stuck on a bus in the middle of the Texas Desert with no cell reception. That one was just embarrassing how bad it was.

In hindsight, 2006 because of what could have been.

At the time, the 2004 loss was the most absurd.

2014 because I think it was one of the games that season that confirmed the decline was in fact real (MSU being the other)

I sat 4 rows up in the endzone right where I think it was LAfell who was bear hugged by the DB in the first quarter in 2006. AU fan next to me said "it's gonna be a long afternoon for y'all" when that wasn't called.

2014 sucked. But in recent memory, 2016 was more disappointing because ultimately it came down to one of Les' biggest flaws - time management.

I love ole Les, but it's kind of ironic that his last play at LSU was a time management mistake.

The Interception Game because LSU dominated and blew it by some of the dumbest coaching I've ever seen. It was Curley though, so not surprising.

The 41-7 cigar game was completely depressing too because that was the moment we knew our #8 team was completely screwed for the season with Lou Tepper. And we had some serious talent on that team.

Went to 2000, 2002, 2004.

Not surprised by 00, very surprised to sit in the rain and watch us get omran over. Dodged post tropical storm/hurricane debris to get there in 04. First loss since winning NC.

Still, even though I wasnt actually there in 06, I would gone that. Such horseshite.

2006 was heartbreaking. It cost us another shot at UF in Atlanta and a shot at a NC. We were a better team than UF the remainder of that season after losing in Gainesville.

We got screwed in 06. I still don’t know how they picked that flag up.

Good Article about the 2006 game - erase it!

quote:

An explanation never happened for Les Miles, or for anyone else in this game, really: not about the missed pass interference calls, not about how Auburn managed to win this game despite having just 153 yards total offense. It's not just that there wasn't a single reason Auburn should have won. It's that there's no reason for this game to have existed at all. Erase this game.

2004 and 2006 are tied.

We were so close in 2004. Saban screwed up when he took Randall out after the first drive. Marcus was on fire but it had been predetermined to let Jamarcus have the second series. Randall wasn't the same after that. Then Corey Webster nearly had an interception on Auburn's game winning drive. The near fumble recovery couple of plays earlier. We had chances.
2006- we were the better team. This is the game that cost us a shot at the NC IMO. We would have beat Florida in a rematch.

2006 without a doubt.

LSU made several big plays, but each time a flag or bad call negated it. A couple of other potential big plays were prevented by bad calls or no calls.

That is the ONE game where I am convinced the fix was in and the refs were determined to make Auburn the winner.

Yeah, of the losses in the 2000 era, 2006 was probably the most disappointing. In 2004, we had just won a title and Auburn went on to go undefeated. In 2016, after the Wisconsin game, the writing was on the wall. In 2006, we had so much potential with a W there and the ref issues and our offense underperforming were real disappointing.

None of those games was worse than the 1994 game at #11 Auburn where we lost a 4th quarter 23-9 lead because of three 4th Qtr interceptions, two of which were pick-6's.
