So Ed is moving on and we can get a real coach to lead this team?

You don’t always find everything you need to know about someone in an interview when they’re kissing your arse, which I why I said that O and crew should not have taken face value and done more due diligence.

so O and DP don't have google? Matt's issues were pretty well known.

My God man....you say that in passing like yeah they should have done this in hindishgt but its not a big deal. Are you claiming they handed a guy a multi million dollar contract to that they did not do proper due diligence on? Yikes......and you wonder why people question O's ability to run a program

I personally don't care

As long as there's an OC that can be effective. Really haven't seen one for years. The revolving door od coordinators is normal at this level

This is one time Matt has hit the nail on the head. President FKA should fire Aleva, and tell O it is your decision and you have on year to prove you know what your are doing.

altercation - remember this?
quote:

Years later, an Orgeron colleague from their University of Miami days told me that he once had to pick up "Bebe" (Orgeron's nickname) from police custody after a night out. He said he was told by law enforcement officials seasoned in evaluating violence that Orgeron's bar fight opponent looked dead. "The cops thought Bebe had killed the other guy. That was Bebe. He was wild."

so who you think threw the first punch? if it happened

No accusations just sayin.. there is some history

Orgeron’s childish comments like “I’m the HC” shows he cares more about authority and controlling instead of sitting back and letting the coaches coach. He’ll hire Steve just like Les hired his friends.

Not a fan of Moscona at all, but he’s not wrong here.

how the frick does dickhead canada get a free pass in this shite fest. this pos has a lengthy history of being kicked to the curb, yet no one complains that he fought with CEO instead of doing what the boss asks you to do. This prick is only out for himself building stats, getting a guaranteed contract and then being a a little prom queen bitch forcing Coach to eject him. His offense was all show, having lineman shifting from side to side did nothing but ruin continuity and increase confusion, if i didnt know better it looked like he planned this outcome from jump street. YOU SUCK canada!

If I were his boss (Canada) and he openly questioned my policies or leadership in front of the team, I probably would not be as nice as Orgeron was and let him stay on.....especially if there was a physical altercation.

From what I am hearing, Canada was going around talking in a derogatory manner about Orgeron to some boosters. Canada can go and peddle his expertise somewhere else where another coach might not mind the insubordination.

The questioning part is just fodder for schoolgirl type bitching on the internet. People bitched about Niles and it's been a dozen years since there was a coach they liked.

And then they bitched about jimbo.

Orgeron either will or will not make it. Everyone has a few doubts I put I also saw some things I liked

Coming here to participate in a feeding frenzy is just a continuation of the mindless bitching we've had to endure for years.

Then Tennessee and USC/UCLA screwed up too because they offered him the job too. It’s easy to act after the fact like this was some outcast that no one wanted

You are wrong. other schools wanted Canada because of history of success as an OC. Same reason O wanted him.

But.... as head coach, Ed had to know what Canada planned to do as OC and if it meshed with his vision for the offense.

It is VERY clear that Ed had no idea what Matt wanted to do. And it seems the only reason he hired him is because he beat Clemson.

There is no way to spin this as a positive for O.

At best his first major hire as HC was a failure. At worse, it was a failure because O didn’t properly vet the guy and only found out what he was about AFTER giving him a shot ton of money.

And O interviewed him, supposedly did his homework in finding out the mans history, and had to have him.

Or did he do his homework?

This ones all on O. It was his call.

Matt is a drama queen that is desperately trying to be the new Colin Cowherd and catering to the lowest denominator of the fanbase.

I’m 99% sure he’s reading this, and posting here under one of the “sky is falling” usernames who have assured us that losing Canada is a disaster and the program is being ruined, etc

Everything you just wrote might very well be true.

But that doesn’t make what Moscona said wrong.

You are blind homer if you think this is a positive and this isn't a sign for concern

No matter which way you spin this one it falls back on Orgeron and Alleva.

- If Canada was a total dick and just can't he happy in one place for long, then Orgeron should have figured this out before hiring him. There had to be tons of people he could have talked to in order to find out how he was to work with. You think this would be a small task for a person you are paying 1.5 million dollars to.

- If Orgeron told Canada that he would allow him to have total control of the offense and then took that away. This is bad bad decision making on Orgeron, and will make it tough to get any OC to come to LSU.

- If Orgeron wants him gone because he wants to run a different offense, then he shouldn't have hired him in the first place. He knew damn well what type of offense Canada was going to run. To run him off after a year is a joke.

And every single thing Orgeron does falls back on Alleva, because he hired him with about 1,000 more qualified candidates out there.
