This will be a problem all year. We're going to beat sucky and average teams, and have crappy defense, and lose to good teams.

Duck….

They don’t like being told the teams best athlete shouldn’t be playing first base. It’s a waste of his talent.

Berry is slow and doesn’t get a jump at all on fly balls. At third he is slow and literally moved out of the way last night on a hard hit ball right at him. He is a DH all the way. Johnson has seen him for an entire year and has to know he is a below average fielder. Johnson preaches about team first, well this is where he can put his money where his mouth is.

You clearly aren’t watching baseball. Go back to football and bitch about something else.

When I watch baseball, I watch for things like ‘why is my first baseman positioned outside the bag when the slow roller on the 1B line my pitcher is going to flip is on the inside of the bag’?

I’ve noticed that and admit at times Tre seems to be way out of position. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt that those were “bail out” moves but he does it quite often as of late. I don’t know if that is going to be corrected.

Leave him be. He consistently makes the flashiest routine plays.

Just swapping Morgan and Berry at first and right would produce monstrous benefits.

There is a common axiom in baseball, if they can hit, you find a place for them to play. That is what I think we are seeing with a few guys, despite their glove not being up to par with their bat. Most coaches will favor a guy who can hit over a guy with a great glove and average hitting, with the exception of catcher, SS, and CF. Most still feel you need to be strong defensively up the middle.
