Nothing honorable about being a snitch.

I know Herman is a good coach especially offensively, but Jesus Christ I’m so glad he isn’t our coach. shite like this can ruin a coach and a program really bad. Just look at Ohio St right now. Gosh if he were at LSU right now and Smith did this, it would hurt our program so bad

The common denominator with all this crap is urban. I heard an interview years ago and the journalist said u could count on one hand the number of people that had any respect for Meyer.
Don't think for a second Zach Smith is done with urbs either.

Well it appears Herman snitched on Smith and now Smith is snitching on him.
Either way it's a really bad look for both.

create a PR problem for UT if this goes beyond discussion on message boards
It’s already gone beyond message boards. I just read a USA Today story, a New York Post story, and a Star Telegram story on the situation. And we’re only a few hours in.
This ain’t good for Herman and Texas. At worst, it will take him down depending on what else comes out. At best, it looks bad and will hurt them in recruiting and public image.

I would've been thrilled with his hiring a couple of years ago, but I'm glad it didn't work out now. Even if Smith's meltdown is fractionally true, it's a horrible look.
All this mess aside, he also acted like a total bitch after the losses to Oklahoma State and WVU. This place would rightfully roast Orgeron, or any other coach, if they did the same.

This was from a TAMU board back in December 2016:
quote:
"Just know the most pissed off man in America today is Tillman Fertita. I guess Tom's personal suite in the Vegas Golden Nugget is getting its locks changed today. Such a good look having your coach spending a ton of his free time in Vegas isn't it? Apparently he is there a lot, and by a lot I mean every free minute he had.
Now that he's apparently gone from UH I promised I'd start telling some of why I didn't like the guy. More to come later when I'm not typing on a phone and I have an 11:30 tee time at Sienna Plantation."
______________________________________________________________
Here are some bullet points that came out of my UH contacts the past two years.
Tilman gave Tom his own suite at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas for his personal use, also allowed him to use his private plane to go when he wanted, He went a lot, most of the times without his wife.
Tom would often go in season for an overnight, called it a "stress break."
While there Tom had fun with the ladies and playing poker in the private rooms
Tom is an excessive drinker, and so is his wife, so much so they had handlers for him to drive him places when he wanted to have a little fun
Tom has real anger issues, the UH brass threatened him with fines to keep him under control if he lashed out in press conferences or in public. He would often times lose it with University employees over silly thinks like being out of the right K cups he liked so he threw his coffee mug through a glass window in the offices. He also started dumping over trash cans one night when the maid service had not come and removed the days trash.
If you listened to the 610 AM Houston incident with John Granato you can see his personality take shape.
He would often send Tilman to go recruit kids for him, he wouldn't go, just sent his money man in.
Heard he showed up to practice one day completely hammered after being in Vegas the night before, he had flown in that morning and showed up a the field hammered. The AD was alerted and he was sent home before the kids saw him, they told the players he was sick.
____________________________________________________________
That is not condemning enough?
How about UH setting up events for Tom's wife to attend so he can excuse himself to play with the ladies?
Not enough?
How about one of the ladies falling for Tom and showing up at the UH practice facility crying about how she loves Tom and he denied her so she fell down in the lobby of the football offices crying?
Ok maybe they are not that juicy but those along with a story of him getting into a shouting match with a recruits father at a restaurant because the Dad wanted the pot sweetened a bit. This shouting match shared with the patrons was a condemning one to the program and if there was an NCAA official around it would have certainly led to an investigation.
Tom's wife apparently made demands of the UH athletic department for her game day enjoyment as well which included some "medication."
This was all told to me by 3 very high level UH sources. All 2nd hand obviously and nothing I have seen on my own. But I have a pretty good source on this.

I don't see this hurting Texas other than rumor mill stuff.

I wish Zach would make another drug induced video like he did a few months back.

We may be able to hire Herman as our OC when this is all said and done.
I say that jokingly, btw.

It’ll hurt Texas’s recruiting. Rumors can ruin people’s lives and the programs they are involved in. Imagine if Herman was at LSU and Zach Smith started tweeting all this stuff? You wouldn’t worry about it being a bad look?

I agree, but it’s lame a play, especially when there’s kids involved. Zach Smith has proven to be a complete lowlife.

On the "more sports" board some are saying the Hermans started all this crap about him (especially the arrest that no one was aware of) to get at Urban Meyer.
Urban got suspended three games while this guy lost a career and any respect from anyone he may have ever had.
Sounds like they are all lowlifes. Including all of the women that are involved.
