Oregon because the quality of opponent.

VT was just an ever-loving beat down.

Both just absolute beat downs, a shame the rants savior didn't change qbs in 11 for the final game to have the same result

Virginia Tech was more impressive because of the sheer domination. Both set the tone for great seasons, though.

VT bc they were supposed to have some great defenders and it was a domination.

VT because they had a good team but we just dominated em. They weren't ready for Tiger stadium at night.

Virginia Tech 2007. This was a Rout For The Ages, and it's more impressive considering that Tech was making a lot of noise saying that they belonged in the NC game vs. Buckeye Brutus.

Honorable mention: @ West Virginia in 2011. LSU blew out a strong team on their home field, one that destroyed Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

Oregon in 2011 may have been a better team than 2007 VT but that game versus the Hokie was never in doubt. We struggled on offense versus Oregon and the game was close well into the 3rd quarter. Virginia Tech was a blood bath from the very start.

The Oregon game was incredible. Problem is the VT game vaulted them to the NC game. So I guess I would say VT.

I have to go with VT. They were ranked 1 in the BCS computers at the end of the year before the bowls obviously. Complete domination. Oregon was very good and a great win for the Tigers.

The '11 season had lots of very impressive wins. It was probably the best regular season by any college team ever. LSU completely destroyed teams that went 6-1 in bowl games, including three of the big January bowls.

All that said, the win over VT was pretty impressive. If they hadn't blown a fourth quarter lead over Boston College that would have been their only loss - and likely would have taken LSU's spot in the title game.

The first VT game of the home and home series was played in Blacksburg in 2002. It was a hard fought game, but they prevailed. The return game was supposed to be played in 2003, but Beamer saw what we had and had the game deferred. Just his luck he caught us in 2007 and got his arse kicked. Either way, he was playing a national championship team and he couldn't dodge it.

It's a tough call for me, but I'm going to say VT. I watched the game in North Carolina and was one of only two Tiger fans in the place, with quite a few very docile VT fans.

That and the fact that it was a good old fashioned beatdown.

Both were such a pleasure to watch....I'm expecting the game vs Wisconsin to be very similar this year.

VT. We did not look good at all on offense in first half against Oregon. We dominated Vtech

I was fortunate enough to go to both of those games. It may be because the Oregon game was more recent but that was my first thought. A night game with a great atmosphere and I won $300. Nothing but great memories from that game.

Oregon was a great win but the 3 most dominant performances in the Les Miles era have been:

1: VT 2007
2: Peach Bowl against Miami

3: Ole Miss 2011, granted they were a terrible team, but we were taking a knee with 4 minutes left in the game.

The Oregon game was close until mid third quarter and they put up over 20 points. Great win over really good team but the total domination of the others I listed.

What I remember from watching both games was that I came away from the VT game with the feeling that LSU could have made the spread bigger if they wanted too. I didn't have that feeling after the Oregon game.
