More and more I’m seeing zy Alexander getting pass from his performance Sunday

I keep seeing ppl say chestnut was the main liability getting torched ( which he was) and zy alexander had a good game. I don’t understand for the life of me why the hell ppl think zy played good. He gave up the first TD to Coleman getting beat in off coverage and whiffing badly on the tackle leading to Coleman scoring. Then Wilson in the slot he got destroyed off the line and beat easily for a gain that led to them having a closer field goal attempt after halftime. Zy wasn’t as bad as chestnut but he def was nothing close to lockdown no.1 cb

Baw our team plays again in 27 hours. Time to move on from Sunday and look forward to hoping for all wins from here on out. There isn’t a single thing we as fans can do except bitch or hope.
I choose to hope. Life is more fun that way.

For sure we got grambling Tommorow and need to move on to that game. I’m jus seeing chestnut take all the heat for the poor coverage against FSU when sage and zy were also getting cooked

Anything over 4 sec you can throw out as problem with secondary…

Neither of them played as badly as you’re saying. They weren’t great, but they performed better than the front 7 beside Wingo.

They aren’t very good but even NFL DBs can’t cover for 9-12 seconds a play

Losing leaders Ali Gaye & BJ is going to cost us.

Maybe getting faceplanted into the end zone by the Florida State running back will help get him going

I feel like the final score makes people feel like there had to be some glaring problem.
I think in reality there was just a plethora of issues in every aspect of the game that compounded into the debacle we saw last week.

Chestnut literally had our only interception and it wasn’t* some fluky jumbled ball pick. He was in position to make a play but got beat by a very good WR. I think the heaping on him has been a bit much

This is a glaring a problem, my guy.

They both suck.
Complete failure at the position this offseason.

First game for them in a big step up in competition. So I’ll hold judgement until the end of the season.
Denver Harris and Welch need to see the field asap.

Kelly doesn’t like bidding wars, apparently aligned southeastern corners cover better against NFL WRs than Elias Ricks or Fentrell Cypress would have

You’re correct , he was just targeted less . Both him and chestnut were less than impressive. He definitely has a family member or 10 on the rant that have been hyping him for some time . Let’s just hope the entire secondary improves and the coaches play the best available player , not the one with the most seniority .

All 3 were bad. Sage was the worst, Duce was next, Zy was the best of the 3

Harris and Welch need to start and roll with them with Stamps as a 3rd

The defense just lost steam in the 2nd half. It wasn't any one guy. They out schemed and out worked our defense.
I think having Maason back will certainly help us greatly, both from a skill and depth perspective. Using Perkins differently will help us. Using other DBs, even if just in spells, will help us. I didn't like the game plan that House drew up, but I think he'll put out a better product moving forward.
ETA: And, that's just my take on the defense. The offense is another conversation altogether.

It’s his first game playing up out of the southland conference against the best receiver we’ll see all year. What exactly were you expecting?

Has accomplished exactly nothing meaningful so far, but of course LSU fans have already crowned him king ding a ling.
