who would you rather in a big game to be locked up with a star receiver?

putting aside PP's exceptional punt return skills, I think I'd rather Mo 1 on 1 in coverage

Very important caveat considering PP7 just won the game in overtime with a 99yd punt return

Honestly, I don't care. I love them both.

They are both studs. I do think MO is better in coverage. PP is probably better at most everything else. Being that they are CBs......tough to say who is better

Can you imagine what our secondary would have been like if PP would have stayed?

Sick thought...

either, too close to call. I know there's been a lotta love for Mo here lately, and deservedly so, but let's not act like he's not gotten beat this yr. like the long TD vs. UF and a few times vs. WV.

disclaimer: I've seen none of Pat's NFL games

Real close...Mo's hips are better, PP can out-physical bigger receivers..I'll take PP by a nose..

Like your loyalty. You'd lose, though. Wouldn't be close. As I posted in another thread, Mo is one of LSU's best ever. PP7 is one of college football's best ever. Not only is Mo not up to PP7, you will probably never see another LSU defensive back of PP7's caliber.

he's not in the same stratosphere as deion or chuck woodson

mo and possibly eric reid are better the year after pp7 left

That is really tough. I haven't seen MO matched up on a big time receiver like peterson was on AJ Green and Julio Jones. But whomever MO has been matched up on,,,you normally don't hear from them the entire game........I guess i would have to go Peterson due to him limiting Jones and Green his 3 years here at LSU. I don't have a big time receiver MO has matched up with to compare.

Would have been insane. I would have to think best college secondary ever. 2 top 10 corners and several other guys who could go 1st round

I really like both of those guys. In fact I think they are two great leaders as well as great players. I know we're not going to agree on this, but I think you'll see in five years that PP7 is a perennial all-pro. I doubt Reid or Claiborne ever reach the pro bowl.

so you know, he's been horrible this year as a corner (has done awesome as a returner, though). he's toast out there

it's like he's going up against julio jones every week

I think he is. Had he come back he'd have ended as a 3-time All-American, likely won many of the defensive awards (again), and imo would have at least been in NY for the Heisman ceremony.

PP7 is the next dynamic cornerback in the NFL, I think it's pretty obvious
