Exactly. There were no off-field distractions before the game and that's why we lost.

At least LSU football is being talked about positively again.

This is a good thing for our national perception. Not a bad thing.

Outside the state, people aren't saying "OMG, they let a GIRL try out for the team! They must suck!" (that's only being said on the Rant)

What they're saying is "Holy shite, LSU girls are awesome."

And they are. This is good for LSU's image.

Wow, so many dumb asses on here. Why can't she try out for the team? What is the harm in it? Where does it hurt LSU to let her try out?

Not to mention, she is smoking hot, and is bigger than a bunch of the players.

She is 6'1", 190 LBs

The real damage being done to LSU's image is via the budget cuts, Dean of the business school leaving etc....
But I think a girl trying out has some good sides and bad sides to it, anyone who says it is all good or all bad is not right. This is a shades of gray issue. Is it a little bit of a publicity stunt, sure it is by both parties involved. I imagine that the press releases are already typed up for if she gets cut or makes the team. I would be amazed if every thing that is happening is not already laid out.

This coming from the guy who lives in Baton Rouge?
On Houston espn radio yesterday they were talking about it and the 2 guys on the show were totally against it. They were mocking Les Miles recruiting staff because of it. Saying if she makes the team the whole recruiting staff should be fired.

I agree that for the most part this is a good thing, but to think that only people on the rant/in BR would be saying this is a bad idea is stupid. All over the country there are people praising LSU for allowing the try-out, and there are people laughing at LSU.

But there have been people laughing at LSU since 1/9 so at least it is about something different, something that will likely be over in the next couple weeks.

"Everyone thinks I'm the average size and weight of a female," Isom said. "I'm 6-foot-1 almost and weigh about 190 pounds."

"I'm just fearless. I'm not bound by fear. I think I can handle a hit just fine."

This is funny. They didn't recruit her; she's trying to walk on. And yes its a stunt for good pub, and it's working. If two clowns on Houston radio can't figure that out, there are freaking stupid.

If anything, people have finally stopped talking about January 9th and started complaining about something else!

Which could be why Miles agreed to the tryout!!!

Mo got a half page spread in the AJC sports section today, more power to her. Hell Wing got hurt last season, so did Alleman and had to relinquish KO duties for a few games. If Mo is skilled enough go for it.
