Just wondering if we can count on that now with the NIL vs previous years. Just more wishful thinking.

Nah. Like others have said, that's all worked out before the draft (see Schmidt, Cureil, Arrambide). Those NIL conversations have taken place and pro teams likely know what they're competing with at that point.

It's more likely you see a guy not get drafted because of an NIL package and never know about it instead of a guy get drafted and forego the opportunity to sign after the fact. So while it is definitely a factor, it's just done differently.

Has Blake Burke gone yet? I’m ready for Tennessee to be decimated while also having their current class drafted as well.

Would really like to see these two back. I think they would raise their picks next year and would be better off

Gotta agree with all of this. An MLB team isn’t going to burn slot money unless they’re pretty sure a kid will sign.

And I’m not Keith Law here but I also think it’s pretty shitty for a kid to agree to be drafted in the top 10 rounds and not sign. Just be upfront with everyone involved and don’t waste folks times in either direction.

Following the draft tracker and they have birthdays listed. Jarring seeing a kid born in two thousand and fricking six get drafted.

That's what every draft eligible sophomore is listed as.
