The bonus is paid out over 3 years though. Not exactly your typical situation.

No, but still, you get it as opposed to coming to school, being a good player but maybe nothing special, then go in the 4th round and never see that kind of money

True but if something happens and he never plays again he’ll still get that money.
But the money isn’t even the biggest part. It’s the extra attention that orgs give to first rounders.

My wife works with Clayton Beeter’s mother. He should go early second round. Pitcher out of TX Tech. He had Tommy John but he supposedly has really good stuff.
