That 20K signing bonus next year would be the tits.
The discussion would be, if you add the $20k next year plus this years’s slot of $285k, could you offer him $350k in NIL to stay, making the money alone a wash?
Clearly more than money goes into the decision/discussion.
Too many moving parts to answer right now. Does he want to start pro baseball? Can whomever drafts him offer double slot?

I don't follow this like most of y'all do, but question: Has Bear told them a $ that they can't meet at this time & thus he is not drafted?

he wouldn't do that in his last leverage year

There’s a lot of names still not drafted. I think we could have our double CF again in the OF and jones is the ? Mark. NIL may get him back. 300-400k NIL I think does it and we have our 1b and power bat back

He's in a category of players that just isn't very highly valued.

Glove first CFs are absolutely thought of more highly than R/R first basemen, this isn't debateable.

Jacob Mayers RHP
Zac Cowan RHP
Jaden Noot RHP
Connor Ware LHP
Love to see these 4 come back.

I think LSU fans overrate his glove too
Stanfield is a decent enough college player. I love the guy as a person. Seriously, he's one of the highest character guys we've ever had in the program. But he flat out does not have tools that project professionally

Still no Patrick or Paz?

If they came back our pitching depth would be fricking insane

I am shocked Mayers hasn’t been drafted yet.

Standield is a lot more valuable at LSU than in the pros. He’s a minor league journeyman man that may sniff mlb as a bench bat/runner and/or defensive replacement. That’s why I hope he comes back along with the bear

I do agree, but if that is the case, unless someone overspends, it seems like he could get a decent number through NIL that'll compare and make a last go at LSU.
Or is it just that he wants to start his MLB clock?
