Possibly move freeman to 3rd and see if deichman can be serviceable at 2nd like Jared foster was last year.

Deichmann will never be a 2B, the demands of the position don't fit his exhibited defensive skill set. I really hope he comes back, maybe RF is the best fit for him as when I watch him it is apparent that currently he has very little instinctive play at 1B, I don't know how he played 3B in HS. If he gets a lot of reps at 1B over the summer and fall and improves his glove and footwork while gaining confidence he could be much better next year, he definitely has upside and it would be nice to have bigger guy there than the 5'9" guys who seem to end up there in recent years. I don't see him coming back as just a DH if the next level is his primary goal.

That's true, but he's been a pretty bad college infielder so far.

He hoping for an easy decision. Started batting switch last year. Hitting 0.600 from both sides. Graduating a year early. Seems to hate school.

Oh yeah, I figured the reclassifying thing was purely MLB related. He's a stud though. The only thing that would save us is if the questions about where he projects are big enough to scare everyone off.

I really don't think those questions will be big enough to scare anyone off.

No offense to the young man, but he sounds like this is the case. That interview was painful to listen to. He sounds slow mentally. Holy shite. I hope he makes alot of money playing baseball.

Oh, wow. This is the point in following him that I now hope he's in a position to get drafted by the Cardinals since he ain't coming here.

Pipe dream for him to get here. Would love to get him here but he (and his coach) clearly expect him in the minors next year.

Right here, right here is where you lost. There are 11.7 scholarships in NCAA baseball. Hardly any player gets a full ride. If you are counting TOPS then that is a different thing, but I don't think you understand college baseball or the MLB draft. Now I am going to hang up and finish reading pages 3-9 of this thread to see if my hypothesis is correct.

I know we use top guys often, as does most schools, and those commitments are largely irrelevant, but who is the best prep guy that skipped LSU and is currently in the pros?
