We're at the point where there's very little risk. Teams throw shite at the wall for college guys and draft HS longshots in hopes of being on the kid's radar down the road.

Doug Neil was pretty legit.
might be the best player in my softball league, which has a lot of really good ex baseball players

Nice. What are your expectations for Cole Mckay next season? I thought we finally signed our third starter last season

Welp. I probably know you...
And yes. Doug was legit. Make fun of Paul all the time for not living up to his brother's talent.

Draft is being extremely kind to LSU this year. 2017 looks to be deep at every position.
we are going to be loaded.
instead of threads trying to peg the starting lineups, we're going to be guessing who is leaving. Should have a good bit of turnover with the bench

'17 was "pegged" to be a loaded year 2 years ago with the class we brought in. Now it's going to be unreal.

I wish we had a few more LHP lined up

I read it as you were on their team. Maybe not.
I'll probably see all 3 of them tomorrow. Pretty close friends with Paul.

The lineup threads will be even worse now. Every time someone goes 0-4 or gives up 3 runs there will be 26 posts saying they need to be replaced in the lineup or rotation.

naw, not on their team, but know just about all the younger guys(they have a lot of older men). Have played against them for years

I've got no clue who the seniors are, but if I'm not mistaken we're in good shape to bring back 7/8 position players, our two solid weekend starters, and every reliever worth a damn?

Valek and Devall are the only two seniors.

He's going to be fine. A year under a college throwing program will build his strength back up...too many kids are being overworked now a days. What he has going for him a very good frame and arm strength.

Draft: Fraley is gone. Poche maybe.
Bugg, Deichmann, Freeman, Riley Smith have also been chosen
Hunter Devall & John Valek are the only SR's on the roster.
C: Paps
1B:Deichman
2B: Freeman
SS: KRob
3B: Reid
LF: Beau Jordan
CF: Duplantis
RF: ??
DH: Bryce Jordan
returning guys:
1. Jordan Romero (1B/ DH/ C)
2. O'Neal Loch (3B)
3. Wofford (RF perhaps?)
4. Breaux (RF?)
5. Trey Dawson (INF)
then we have several talented FR.
i think the big question is do Bryce Adams and Ducote stick around, or do they see the writing on the wall? PM called Ducote the best hitter to come out of NOLA since Mason Katz last offseason, so I wonder how he feels about him now. Adams, dont see how he fits with gluttony of players we have on both the INF and OF corners.

So, assuming we only lose Fraley to the draft and Valek and Devall to graduation, we'll bring back 87% of our hits and 88% of our IPs. Jesus Christ.

Bad assumption to think poche is staying, imo
Posted on 6/11/16 at 3:24 pm to slackster
and that isnt even taking into account the growth that a lot of 1st year players go through into their 2nd year

Posted on 6/11/16 at 3:24 pm to Lester Earl
Bryce has played 6 games so far this summer. He's 9 for 23 with 3 doubles and a HR. Would be nice to have him at 1B and Deichmann in RF. 3 walk; 5 Ks.
