Listening to Ben McDonald announce the game is like sitting in a baseball class. His baseball IQ is off the charts and he often makes some observation that would not occur to me, even with as much baseball I have watched over the years.
He seems a good dude who loves the sport, was very good at playing the sport and now is very good at announcing the sport. Some announcers make you want to turn the sound down to watch. His commentary adds to the enjoyment of watching the game.
