I didn’t think it was an error tbh. They hit a piss rod right by him that he didn’t even have time to get a glove on. I think that was to protect Money’s ERA. Others disagree, but regardless, it wasn’t like the errors we’ve been making. Nothing routine about it.

Agreed…Gervase getting pulled for a lefty on lefty With Mann we got away with. That called third strike was high as hell… Cooper gets hit hard and needs a good defense behind him to make plays and we struggle with that. We made them but I like our odds better with a strike out pitcher like Gervase that can take it out of the defense’s hands.

All understandable. I even suggested before the game that if Dugas was gonna be out for a while, probably be good to get Gio some SEC ABs since he’ll be needed as our 4th OF. I guess I just questioned it after questioning several of Jay’s decisions, even though most worked out. But over the course of a long season, sound reasoning is a better judge than 1-game results. I just scratched my head on a few at the end there. Oh well, we won. frick it.
I do think he expected us to score more than 3 runs in regulation when he filled out the lineup, though. Doubt he thought PHing Stevenson for Gio in the 10th would ever come up.

I don't think so. You still have Collins for the piggy back. Reyz and Fontenot should both be ready. Gervase prob has an inning in him. Really, we probably only burned a few guys so far, Taylor is prob one of them, though.
For Naptime, I wonder if they decide to start Devin today.

We've been using a Dutton/Taylor combo for the last game so far, but since we already used Taylor, I'm assuming Dutton will start, and go as long as he can. We haven't seen Vietmeier yet, so he should see multiple innings.
