Don't be criticizing the State fans when we didn't sell out our allotment either. If this game were in BR on a thursday I dare say there'd be lots and LOTS of empty seats.

Dude, starkvegas is a place where people have to drive in a few hours from outlying areas (ie jackson, hattiesburg, memphis etc). It's not like baton rouge with a population of 500,000 plus that can just roll out of work and make the game and then go to work on Friday.
Not many people are able to just pull up and take a 4 day weekend for a home game.

Didnt LSU return 2,000 tickets? I know with Dallas two weeks ago and WVU next weekend, its tough to commit to a Thursday game.

starkville is a cheap trip. my hotel was less than $100, ticket $70.
room and gas split between 4 pepes. looking at less than $200 a person if we dont splurge.

This is why I'll never order tickets from LSU for a game in Starkville. They are overpriced and upper deck seats. Wait till the week of the game and you can always get better seats under face. Even in that high school sized stadium, there are seats available.

Making the drive up thursday morning then turning around after the game so I can be back for a 9 o clock clinical rotation. Some people just don't travel well i guess

im going into work at 4:00 in the morning and leaving at 11:00 for Starkville and then leaving after the game to come back to BR for work Friday morning

Tough road schedule this year for those who like to travel:
- 6 away games
- 3 in the first 4 weeks
- 3 "big" games (oregon, wvu, bama)
- SEC East away game is a long trip as well
