If the mother in law is that shitty about the wedding how can you tolerate them about anything else? You all must be a lot more patient than I am.

Best friends wedding was on the Bama game a few years ago. He had asked me to be best man. I said its Bama weekend ya know! He convinced wife to have a 4 pm starting time. Everything worked out! Lots of TVs at the reception.

Gonna is the Moo State game because of my sister in law's friends' wedding. I swear to God I don't own my balls anymore.

NO shite !!!

I would miss immediate family member's wedding if they are stupid enough to schedule it on a big game weekend AND you are going to miss one for a sister-in-law's freakin friend. Your man-card has officially been rescinded.

Not too late to get a divorce and try to act like a man again. If you ever did, which seems kind of doubtful after the post you made.

I pick and choose my battles with my wife. After a couple years, I've found that streaming the game via my phone gets me in way less trouble than not going at all. I've let her know that I'm not happy about it and she "feels bad" (Jerk off motion inserted here). I'm not going to miss the game, I just won't be able to scream at my tv like I enjoy doing every Saturday and Sunday in the fall.

Wife's cousin decided 2 weeks ago to get married Nov. 7 at 7. Laughed in the wife's face when she told me.

Even better she is serving in it.

Too bad already have the party planned with the crew. Including our 20' by 40' screen we made for the projector.

Fingers crossed that it's a night game

I am missing two games this year for the bachelor party and the wedding. It is my first year with season tickets as an alumnus. I fricking hate myself.

There's a big difference between missing an LSU game for a wedding when you have game tickets or not.

If you have the tickets, especially if you pay for them & all the TAF fees/parking/have a tailgate group/etc then there should be ZERO guilt or fault about missing a wedding/couples shower/event for a home game in Death Valley. That's a big time investment. And should be discussed as such, NOT explained. Because it's NOT your fault someone was selfish & scheduled an event in the SOUTH on a college football Saturday. They're 1 couple & they're not THAT important. They are not the 1st nor the last people you know to get married. Odds are, they will likely be married again anyway-if they are smarter the next time around...YOU want all the people you love & care about at YOUR wedding/event? Fine, then plan & schedule accordingly by taking into account what major events might conflict.

But if you're a Couch QB on Saturdays, then you don't have as strong of an argument to miss the event. Especially nowawdays with live streaming.

I hate to say it, but people having weddings are in for a lot of hurt if they schedule their wedding to coincide with the LSU game. The best thing is just not to force friends and family make a choice. Please schedule the wedding so that it doesn't overlap with the LSU game.
