As someone who follows Memphis, Norvel isn’t above reproach. He is married to a QB that holds the team back and won’t move on, no matter what. He single-handedly lost the game for them at Temple yesterday.
Also, UT, Ole Piss or Arkansas found something in his past they didn’t like and they all passed on him two years ago. The rumor was something to do with gambling. Could be BS, but who knows. It wasn’t enough for Memphis to care about, but I think it scared off UT and Ole Piss after the Schiano and Freeze disasters.
