In the end the Arkansas offense, both run and pass, will have a difficult time just getting on the field if LSU is able to control the ball by running on play after play, and 1st down after 1st down. I'm told the Arkansas run defense isn't their long suit. Arkansas can't have won all their games if they've been one dimensional. I'm sure their offense will give us trouble. But if we can keep them off the field......

The Arkansas offense is fine. They average about 35 points a game against SEC opponents. But then again, so does LSU

The Arkansas defense is not good. They give up an average of about 22 points against SEC opponents. LSU only gives up about 7 points.

Even if you throw out the Bama game, Arkansas still gives up about 18 points, and LSU only gives up about 6.

So yeah, your offense is fine. Your defense is not.

The conclusion that AK is capable of beating LSU is weak. Of course some Div I teams are capable of beating LSU, and AK is a Div I team. The issues are how capable AK and LSU are relatively and which has more want. I decline to down AK any further than I have mistakenly done in this thread. AK is a fine team and will require LSU's best effort to beat. Thus far, thankfully, LSU has not taken any opponent lightly. Coach Miles simply won't allow it. And that is simply another reason why LSU will win the game.

Good thing we aren't, or else this game may have actually been ugly.

LSU 286 yards rushing
LSU 208 yards passing
Arkansas 47 yards rushing
Arkansas 207 yards passing

Balance!!

Great call here. Really.
