“Our offense will be like the one we ran when we were winning championships”

Sounds like it’s Ensminger running the offense O wants.

Stuff that matters like the head coach saying I’m going to go out and get top flight coordinators...except for when that doesn’t work I’ll promote the TE coach from the previous regime staff because the answer to all the offenses problems was right here in baton rouge all along.

Not true. He was ripped for not allowing his buddy to call the game and not firing him.

Everyone was jacked we had an NFL OC calling the shots.

Also are we saying O hasnt been getting ripped to shreds over this? I am confused because O can't fart without people freaking out

Ok, for retaining him prior to 2016.

He signed a 3 year deal through 2015, everyone wanted his arse gone and miles kept him onboard because it’s his friend.

So no, the situations aren’t identical, but Ensminger doesn’t have any track record to speak of, and as another posted alluded to, there was no search performed, it’s as if O knew thanksgiving day 2017 he was hiring Ensminger as OC.

Could not agree more. Greatest QB guru in the world could not have made stellar QBs out of those two. They just didn’t have it.

This board =/= the LSU football fan gen pop.

By and large, the vast majority of fans love O. For whatever dandy don is worth he has about a 70% approval rating, which is better than the president.

Miles was NOT ripped to shreds for hiring Cam. most fans were damn excited about the hire.

Miles was ripped to shreds for not firing him when it became apparent to all that he sucked as an OC.

those are the facts bud. your post is very misleading and perhaps hides an agenda. but maybe not;maybe you just don't know what happened.

Whenever I get tired of the constant melting on PoliTalk, I come to the Rant for a different kind of constant melting.

Not until after the Cam experiment failed. Keep on Hating O, though. It feels good.

Stop thinking coaches are more important than players. A solid QB would have been better than the best OC in the country. Why do you think Miss State is projected to do better than LSU this year? Their QB and uncertainty about LSU QB situation.

You are fake news. Cam Cameron was lauded as an excellent hire at the time.

When we started sucking at offense again after 2013, Miles got shite for not firing him and they both went down with the ship.

Who on earth could have made Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris a good QB?!

Harris showed occasional flashes of greatness. I think had he had the right QB coach and the right system from the start, he could have ended up as a good college QB.

What I hate is that O is presenting this hire under the pretense that it was Ensminger's offense that set those records. He kept mentioning it over and over at the media day yesterday. That was Cameron's offense that had already been installed that set those records.

And yet another ignorant thread.

If Steve fails as the OC this season, it'll pretty much mean that LSU will have a bad season unless our D plays possessed and we win games with scores like 9 to 3 & 12 to 7 etc....I doubt that'll happen so if Steve does fail, both O and his pal Steve will be out of jobs.

And, there's a chance that Steve will do well and piss off all you miserable O haters.
