Lol you might want to read it again

No one is saying they were going to make the move, but the dad said Chase would be open to trying it out.

That's literally in the OP. Are you sure you read it?

Read the details dude, they are right there. You can’t miss them

Dad spoke for son. Couldn’t tell Miles no to face

Kid looked at him like WTF

Proceeded to walk right out of the drill once on the field

Les miles still didn’t offer him as a WR after that which is the most ridiculous thing posted in that blurb

Wait what?

Ja'Marr's dad spoke for him but JaMarr was having none of it and didnt even run a drill and then told his dad he wasnt coming back to LSU.

Uh, you need to. Foot responded to,

Nothing they said to Miles indicated this. Just move on-you're dead on this one.

You really need to read that again. That was his dad that was willing.

Wait, what? They walked off the field and was leaving! How is that not an indication?

It has never made any sense to take a kid who has up to 4 years of experience playing a position and have him start all over again learning something else.

I love blanket statements like this that are 100% inaccurate,. but stated as true anyway.

Do you need us to list players just at LSU who came as one position having played it their whole lives and switched while at LSU to blossom there? Or will it even matter?

So they said yes to trying it out, thanks for clearing that up.

At which point Miles told him he was a WR and they would continue to evaluate him.

What exactly is your point here? That no coach should ever ask a player to test out different positions?

Dude, after dad said ok. Walking off was the first indication it was a no go.

Dude, some time you are right. But, when you're wrong, it's as if your brain just short circuits.

I guess you missed the part where Chase gave him the WTF look and did not do it? Dad said Chase was willing, Chase said he wasn't and leaving the field before even one snap tells you he was not open to it.

i read that Miles suggested it and they said "Yeah Coach, we'll do it". Chase then tanked the drill on purpose and tried to leave before the (i think this takes place at a camp) is over. Not a fantastic look for Ja'Marr.

Maybe it would have gone differently if he gave his all in the drill and then was honest with Miles about wanting to be a wide receiver? Who knows - pouting and taking your ball and going home because the LSU head coach says he wants to try you out (not a permanent move mind you just try you out and see how you look) at another position as an experiment ain't the best way to earn a scholarship offer on the spot.

This doesn't support your position at all.

I'm gonna take a page from the PoliBoard and simple say "White Hat Man Bad."

Or you could go with LMDS is you'd prefer...

Only thing we need in the thread now is telling us to stop bringing Miles up and to let him go!

fricking Thursday of Florida week and Miles is STILL being brought up here to shite on...

Miles wanted him to try. Dad said he'd try. End of story.

This happens every single year with players. It isn't something new.

quote:

Dad said Chase was willing, Chase said he wasn't and leaving the field before even one snap tells you he was not open to it.

And Miles told him he'd be evaluated as a WR from then on. He didn't refuse to let him play offense

I really don't understand what you people are missing here.

Y’all keep saying “they”. His dad said it. The kid never wanted to do it. Again, read the whole thing.

This board is frickin weird sometimes

I have no position. Trust me, I am no Lester fan but all he said was Chase was not open to playing DB which, from that article, is correct. You and the other cat are arguing that it was Chase that was open to it like the person narrating the article was Chase. It was his dad. Shame on you for making me agree with LE. I feel dirty now.
