I think he is a "young" 62 and seeing his personality over the past 11years I think he truly does like a challenge and he probably wants to coach until he is 70 so I think it happens.
I sincerely don't mean to be a dick by saying this, but I think Les has some cognitive issues and has some signs for early onset Alzheimer's. I would not classify him as "young." He's young in spirit, but I'm honestly concerned about his mental health.

ND would be crazy not to give him a look. I think his brand of football would go over well there if he can be successful with it. The players to run that style are there for the taking in the Midwest, and Ohio State is passing on some of them because they don't fit their style of play.
Two other great fits, in my opinion, would be NC State and Wake Forest. There is talent there, and we know he can recruit. There would also be more winnable games and less pressure, especially at Wake. We see what Cutcliff has been able to do at Duke (although he his a coach em up guy, rather than a recruiter). Still, I think he would be given some time to right the ship at a school like that.
One more out of left field- Army. They have been searching for years to find a guy who can direct a run-heavy attack that can rival what Navy has been able to sustain for several years now. I think he could put together the right staff to work with that schedule and win in that kind of environment. I think his leadership style and class demeanor would work there. Those players already have discipline drilled into them. A player's coach could really work there.

Much like Frank Solich, I can see him going to a MAC school and doing very well.

I firmly believe he will be coaching somewhere in the next 2 years!!! I honestly think he will be coaching somewhere next year. As one poster put it, Franklin is probably done at Penn State and you better believe they would love to get Miles so I feel they would go after him big time if they let Franklin go.
I also still feel K-State would be a great fit for Miles if it is Schneider's last year which that is a big rumor.
Easy as we talk about winning 10 games in the SEC is that is what he did and there are alot of programs that are desperate for success. We would have killed for him before Saban turned us around. He is a class act as well.
We did the right thing, but he still has fight in him

Unless you are an expert in the field "which you would be making those observations without even examining him" your comments have no validity.

That is what being a young "62" means, young in spirit and not wanting to sit and rest.

Ole miss after the death penalty.

Until then though I definitely see him breaking in the business with ESPN which would be interesting.
it would cool to see him on the SEC Network with McFarland

I work in senior health care. Obviously, he would need further tests conducted, but there's certainly signs there (and I'm not talking about his coaching decisions).

That is obviously what I was getting at, what are your credentials to give your observations any validity. I am not a person that can give any credence either way, but unless you are strongly connected to Alzheimers I don't see how your comments have validity.

So what you are saying is you would like Miles to go to a rival SEC west school in the state next door allowing him to recruit Louisiana kids easily!
You sir need one of these

That's ok. You're name is Dudebro and you live in San Diego.
You probably have a pretty nice live and I wouldn't knock anyone choosing to live there.

Kentucky.
I think he and his offense--no turnovers but conservative--would more than meet expectations there. Not to mention he is a national celebrity.

I guess what I am saying is, I like Miles too much to say what you are saying. I am not saying you are wrong, I don't have any expertise in the field so I can't comment either way. But I don't think it is Alzheimers, just a gut feeling no expertise attached to it, I just think it is who Miles is and the pressures of his job at LSU.

Best route he could take. Why put up with crazy fanbases at his age? He should just go somewhere where he could get a lower tier team up to 9 wins and they'll love him forever. He has nothing to prove at the power conference level.

Penn State when Franklin gets fired.

I've worked in mental health for over 20 years and I still can't diagnose without actually meeting the person. Maybe you have a talent that I don't?

Might not be too far fetched. Dude has interesting scholly situation at a private school. His players obviously love him.

I overheard a group of AU fans say they'd take Miles in a second. I was kind of shocked.
