The more of this that goes on, the more confinced I become that Les will nto do anything at the end of the year to fix this.

Miles won't have to fire the def coordinators. Just have a feeling they will come to the conclusion that the experiment didn't work and everyone will go back to their coaching duties prior to the hire within and Miles will hire someone from the outside.

Someone has to be fired if he hires an outside DC. There are limitations on how many coaches you can have.

BS. He has thrown half the team under the bus while covering for his friends.

Miles is loosing all respect from the fanbase by covering for his friends.

Since when is a 3 Million dollar salary compatable with protecting incompetent friends on staff ?

Unacceptable.

Last in first out, don't you think?

Who were the new coaches hired?

I was laughing when he said besides the long pass, the fake field goal, and a few long drives, the D played good.

I haven't read this thread, but I'm giving Miles the benefit of the doubt here and going to assume that he's just BSing in front of the media....But when you give up a TD on 3rd and 17, 3 long passes in a row resulting in a TD, a dropped int, and when the opposing QB has a career day (a common theme this year) ... the defense did NOT play good

You all need to slow down and look at the big picture. Sure I'm worried especially after that lackluster defensive performance for Old Mississippi. And yes we need to find a mean arse defensive cooridantor to complement Miles' niceness. But we need to have some patience and see what happens in the offseason. Miles is right when he points to two key plays in the game. The touchdown on 3rd and long on the first drive and the fake punt were huge and if the players and\or the coaches had done the right thing and stopped those plays the game could have been very different. The dixie land crew did whip our butts the whole game but stopping those plays may have changed the momentum. Don't underestimate old Mo.

What could possibly be the advantage to telling the media that we played good defense when everybody and his brother know it was horrible?!!!? Does it somehow help him to make everyone think he's that ignorant?

Miles NEVER shoots straight with the media...ever. On injuries, on individual player problems, on coaches. That's just his style. Dude, he's been here 4 years, haven't you caught on to this yet?
