He should have let his QB throw the ball in last minute to put game away, but sorry Miles haters this one was on Chevis. No way his Defense should have given up 14 points in last minute of each half after dominating the while freaking game.

Compare our last 7 seasons to ANYONE in the country. We are easily top 5 and likely better than that.

And we only have 1, 2 loss BCSNC to show for it.

Yeah, poor you---only one NC, 2 NCGs, three west titles, two SEC titles, and 85 wins.

We all feel your pain, you fruit loop. Take two asprin for your period pain.

How many other schools have won NC's in the last eight years? And why is it important that we had two losses when we won ours? If it matters, why didn't another school play in our place? And if you say it's important because we "backed into the game," then why aren't you shitting on Bama who's backed into the last two NCG's?

And it's frustrating to watch knowing we have the most talent and potential in the entire country.

So don't watch!! Seriously, sure, we have great talent, and just as importantly, great depth (thank goodness given the injuries this year), but to say we have "the most" is just plain delusional. You talk like the LSU team should just show up and roll over every opponent. SEC football just isn't that way anymore. Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, etc., all have great talent. Even some of the teams down this year like Auburn and Arkansas still have some great players.

Edit to add Georgia....how could I forget the most talented but under-achieving team in the SEC.

He made 4 bonehead decisions in that game. Not just the last minute and a half. Did he apologize for not having the team ready for the National championship game last year when half the team was crying and angry because the coaching staff threw in the towel? Big stinking deal. He should hire a real offensive coordinator of at least let the one he has, do his job! He is accountable. Acknowledging it means nothing this far after the fact. Have a nice Day!

You're a dumbass.

As long as our coach is in Tuscaloosa and they are "better" than us, we will always be the 2nd best team in the SEC east. I don't know what can be done about it.

I know cause we never be bama...amiright? dumbass.

You just named 2 schools that have more national titles than us in the past 8 years. TWO. If you cant be happy with being in the top 3 of the entire country then just stop being a fricking sports fan. You are too delusional and entitled to even talk sense to.

My point was that to call Les Miles and his tenure here mediocre is about the most ignorant thing I've ever heard. Go back to school.

Nice to see Les still has a strong grasp for the obvious. He could be looking at 2 straight BCS titles if he does 2 very simple and obvious things that EVERYONE else would have done:
1. JL for JJ in BCS title game 2011
2. Pass the fricking football on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down in any of last 2 drives when approaching the red zone to win the fricking football game against Alabama.

Thanks for letting me know Miles takes responsibility. That makes me feel a whole lot better - NOT! I just wish he would quit doing dumb shite when it matters the most. He still knows how to win football games so I can't bitch too much. Geaux Tigers!

Class move by a good man and a great coach.

That is why he will always be a better person than Saban.

LSU had ample opportunity to put the game away.

I agreed with all of the bonehead plays you are referring accept for the fake field goal from 12 out.

You disagree with that fake on 4th and 12 b/c it was a completely boneheaded decision. That decision alone should make one question Miles to some extent.

My problem with Miles in the Bama game was that he chickened out with the ball and the opportunity to ice the game. Instead of going for the score he ran chickenshit plays and then attempted a field goal that wouldn't have won the game.
It was almost but not quite as bad as him quitting in the 3rd quarter in January.

I'm sure if he had known the defense was going to take the last minute of the game off and go out without even a whimper, he would have played the game different, Mr. I Know More Than An SEC Staff.

The reason why this thread is six pages long is pretty simple. While Miles takes the blame, Saban takes the trophies.

Excuses and blame are for losers. Win the games that count and no explanation is necessary.

Offense was dominating Bama until he took his foot off the gas with only a FG lead.
But not sure why I would converse about coaching decisions with someone who thinks SEC staffs can't be questioned.
I'm sure I wasn't the only one saying that he was messing up by not going for the kill. I bet there were even other SEC coaches who saw that coming!

My biggest problem in the BAMA game was taking out your starting QB, RB, and FB to insert 2 backup RBs and backup OL to pick up 1 yard on the most critical 4th down in the season. And you run your 5'11" backup RB on a QB sneak instead of the 6'5" QB you just took out. WOW!!
