This is where you're going wrong, but I'm sure the game was special to both CLM and the team.

Seriously?? Do you think Miles would really ask the team to win it for him?

He would if it were his final season

oh that's right. Not only is Jon Gruden putting together a coaching staff, now Miles is also planning to leave. After all, who wouldn't leave this job for the greener pastures of Colorado!

What if he and his family are sick of the scrutiny?

4 million in a high stress job, or 2 million in a low stress job. For a guy with the money Miles has, he can make that decision.

I believe it. If Miles would have lost, he was going to be in trouble. Going down 3 in a row to Bama and Saban plus all the coaching mistakes and time mang issues. Miles needed this game more than LSU or any player on the team.

Only with a 0-4 ending would it even have been a remote possibility.

Miles' job was not in any trouble had he lost. Would fans still want him gone? Yes, but a buyout wasn't happening this season unless it was a total disaster.

My Aunt Larue lives down the street from Jim Hawthorne's barber and I have it on good authority that Jordan Jefferson actually drew up the 4th and 1 play to Peterson in the dirt in the huddle. He had a crazy hunch. I believe it.

Not just an 0-4 ending, but WHICH games were lost and HOW. Miles had lost the fan base. Witness the apathy before the game and during the first half.
