Was I in a blackout for the opening season game against TCU???

It's possible, I used to blackout often.

Either other programs wanted Miles or they didn't. I get so lost with the Miles bashers and what agenda they are trying to push.

It's over, LSU is moving on.

People we were LUCKY to win the 2007 BCS Title, we had to have 3 teams lose in the same weekend and win the SEC title just to have a shot. We lost to two inferior teams (especially Arkansas at home) when that was arguably one of the best teams we've ever had. We were clearly the favorite that year in the country. Minus the Florida game, when was the last time we willed ourselves to a win and showed that mental toughness like the 2003 or this team? You know what analysts say about that team? ONLY TEAM TO WIN THE TITLE WITH 2 LOSSES, WHAT TYPE OF LEGACY IS THAT FOR THAT TEAM??? Ask yourself how was Miles the key to winning the title???

Ehh you will see more two loss teams competing with the playoff.

Sabans trophy was split, and they even needed luck to get there. When you lose in college football, you need other teams to slip up.

To NOT coach.

Some sort of weird definition of "losing end" with which I'm unfamiliar.

good point. He did not leave, but leveraged significantly by these situations. He got a raise he did not earn, leveraging continuously off of the 2007 Tigers.

Jamarcus was the last good QB we had, guess who he had his tutelage from? JIMBO,

Guys, quit saying this, please. It makes you sound stupid. Jamarcus was like 7 feet tall, 2,000 lbs, and could throw a football across Montana. No one "developed" that. In fact, Jamarcus was very undeveloped when he left LSU. I think that was because he was a lazy SOB rather than due to a lack of coaching, but just saying...

Come on dude. That's his almamater and he played and coached for their most historic coach of all time. He was extremely close to the man.

How would you feel if LSU was a .500 team, one of your guys has won a national championship and has turned you down twice? It shows how loyal the man was to LSU.

If Michigan had really wanted Miles, he would have been there. See Harbaugh.

He didnt turn Michigan down twice, only to consider going to Arkansas. Just read that back slowly to yourself. He turned his alma mater down 2x because he 'loved LSU', but that damn Arky job, "Well, I might not be able to pass that one up"

He played us 3 times against other jobs, and now its time for LSU to return the favor

Sure.. we have no trophies over the last 4 years. But I've enjoyed the hell out of a lot of games.

Hell yeah-we have, too. No question...and we'd all enjoy improving on it, too.

No he wouldn't have, because the first time was real and he didn't. Now, your Saban flirted with Miami and left LSU. Then he flirted with Alabama and left Miami. Some coaches are more loyal to the school than others.

The wheels are already turning. There's no need to try to tear this coach down to get what's already happening.

There was a big SI spread about it. Miles agent said that he kept calling, but the Michigan AD wouldnt return their calls.. He was out sailing. Then the Herbstreit thing aired, so LSU locked him down just based on the rumors. The agent advised Miles to take it because of no contact with Michigan. His exact words

But make no mistake the rumors were started by Miles having his agent seek out an offer. However, Lloyd Carr was actively working to make sure that didnt happen

And when Hoke was hired, Les flirted again, so Brandon flew in to BR to tell him there would be no job offer. This I know because before his plane left for BR, Hoke had accepted and friends of mine were prepping the hall at Michigan where the announcement was to be made the next morning.

And we know when Harbaugh was hired, he was the one and only target, so guess what? No raise, no new contract. It didnt work a 3rd time

I watched us open the season with neutral site wins against TCU and Wisconsin. Watched us give Auburn their lone loss in a title game season. Watched us beat a ranked Florida team... three times. Watched us ruin the season of 3rd ranked and undefeated South Carolina and ole miss. Saw the most prolific offense in school history with Mett, Jarvis, Odell, and hill. And watched us beat Texas A&M every god damn time we played them

I love hearing which wins you personally enjoyed. Now tell me which bowl victory you enjoyed so much since the 2010 cotton bowl win. While we're at it, let's discuss that stellar sec record over the past 3 yrs

Damn you people are stupid. That shite happened as a direct of result of Les not getting any recognition for the 2011 season. Yes we laid an egg in the championship game. That shite sucked and I was as butthurt over it as the next guy. BUT coaches who have seasons like 2011 don't end the year with no recognition from their school. Alleva didn't bother to offer anything so Les took matters into his own hands. Alleva is a shitty AD and we are all going to end up paying for his incompetence soon
are you stupid? making sec & NC games are already built in in every coaches' contract with bonuses. he shouldn't have got an extension & a raise because of that

Forget all you've heard about secret deals using third-party intermediaries between Michigan and Miles. Bass said it's just not true.

Miles had no idea if Michigan really wanted him.

So Bass decided to ask.

He said he called Martin's cell phone on Friday and left a message. He just wanted to know where Miles stood.

Then, when he didn't hear back, the agent said he called Martin again.

"The (LSU) deal was so good that we couldn't just wait," Bass said via phone Tuesday. "I didn't know if we were one of the candidates in the pool at that time. There was just no communication."

Bass is Miles agent. Time and time and time again, He has said THERE WAS JUST NO COMMUNICATION

When you Miles defenders get past the fantasy, then you will appreciate what LSU will do as a team when we move forward
