We need to reboot to a year ago when Alleva decisively--and rightly--pulled the plug on Miles/Cameron after the Auburn game.

I don't agree it was the right time to fire him. What coach would want to come to a school where you win over 75% of your games and get fired mid season? There is a reason we got stuck hiring a coach no one else wanted.

This year was going to be rough no matter who was the head coach. The last few years of recruiting OL and DL just doesn't match what we're used too.

It happens to every program. Texas, Miami, Oregon (was in 2 championships), Nebraska, Notre Dame.....

It's not fun, but we have to remember what it was like to not be very good, and enjoy rebuilding. I remember being in 8th and 9th grade watching LSU at the Indy bowl. It was crazy cold, packed, and everyone was pumped. Then we climbed out for an awesome run. It will happen again.

Has been 1 year since Miles got the boot.

A year ago he got canned for losing in the last second to Auburn. This year we could only hope to be within a score in the last second against Auburn.

The facts are that Miles won a lot of conference games. More than most.

He Won as in past tense rockstar. He was on the losing side of conference games win he was fired.

You don't keep a coach because 5 years earlier, he was winning conference games but not during the time he was fired.

Whew, when your apple fell from the tree, it rolled down the hill, over the road and into the gutter.

could be in year 2 with a coach that most assuredly would be more qualified than O.

And we have a winner!

I was a huge Les Miles fan and supporter, but it was time for him to go. That being said, they should have had somebody better lined up before he was fired as his replacement.

I knew this would be a down year, but I didn't know it would be this bad. This team has zero discipline. That's all on coach O.

Les had to go.
But then we traded down.

I was all for miles being fired but if I had known who the replacement was I would have fought for him to stay. It's still. Unbelievable To me a school like LSU could stoop this low when they could have used this opportunity to get a great younger coach to challenge Saban and reinvigorate the program. Gross negligence.

Still feel they fired Miles a year too late
Still feel Alleva is an idiot
Still feel the hiring of O was a mistake
Still feel Grimes should not have been retained

Miles sucked. He needed to be fired several years ago. Can we forget about Miles?

Miles needed to be gone, God knows I bitched till I was blue in the face about Miles, that being said, if I had known what was coming down the road, I would have preferred Miles stay.

Maybe you are right with this year being rough for any coach that was hired but that makes the hiring of O even more puzzling. If this team was in such desperate need of a rebuild then why hire someone with a resume like Os to do it? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

But it is what it is and time will tell if this was a huge mistake or a solid hire. The only thing we do know right now is that LSU isn't a very good football team right now.

Ehh, I don't agree with this. There were coaches that wanted to be here, coaches that may not be household names but will be big names very soon. I know it's a trite point to make, but Alleva really fricked us over.

looking back I wish we would have allowed him to finish out the season and then O never gets a look for this job. Who knew what seemed like such a great day, would end up so badly for us
