Why not give Jeffeson some playing time. These kids don't stick around that long if they're good anyway. We never did get to see what RP could do after a full years experience. I say play him before he decides to leave.

Bad Move.. But personnel decisions does not appear to be oel Les' strong suit. If JJ, has potential to play, why he did not play earlier. Now Les is feeling the heat..So he torpedoes Lee? IF he was gonn apull the trigger he should have done it games ago!!
Then again les is 0-2 against "quality opponents" Even though he "really liked the matchups"

Do we even have a coach who is a real QB coach?

Take away the 17 pts on paper, yes LSU wins.
But, don't discount the fact that Ga. started playing conservative in the 4th Q as well.
For most of the day, our D played like they have all year, POORLY. Ga could've hung 50+ without the turnovers, if they wanted to.
Lee isn't the biggest problem, although his "pick six's" are really hurting. This is a very bad defense. They were bad at the end of last year. And they're even worst this year. It all starts up front. Our DL is one of the most overrated units ever. I don't know it that's by scheme or just players underperforming. But, they simply don't create much havoc in the oppositions backfield. Add to that our Lb's and S's do a poor job of tackling and you have a pretty bad defense.
This D reminds me alot of the Saints D. They'll make a few good plays, then give up a huge play.

If you score 38 points in the SEC you shouldn't lose.
If you take away the points directly attributed to Lee intercptions (17 points), WE WIN 38-35. We may have won with a higher margin had the defense not been force to deal with playing against Georgia and our own QB.
We have a winner!!!!

Miles needs to change the defensive philosophy more so than the qb. We give up 21 poits to a mediocre AU offense,21 to a struglling USC offense, 28+ to UF and UGA. It is only going to get worse if we do not make changes here first.
Lee has made some bonehead throws but Crowton continues to try and spread the ball east and west with 8 men in the box, maybe he should try and throw it vertical a little more early on then spread it around. IMHO

Because he was hurt and didn't know the offense well enough

I think there is no question that Miles wants to get JJ some experience, and Tulane is the game to do it.

Jefferson will not see the field at LSU as a QB again...paste this somewhere, and remember it. He will return next season as a Fr (RS) and play the WR position.

Miles is just blowing smoke. No way he pulls Lee and crowton boy hatch

Yeah, "ol Les" just lucked into the best 3 consecutive seasons in LSU history huh?

Let's see..our Coach has a 39-8 overall record & is 5-2 right now, is feeling the heat? And "ol Les" might play a QB he signed to play for LSU, is considered "Torpedoing" Lee?

He says he might look @ him???????
What more do ya need...the sit. bad enough to pull the shirt from JJ....
If he is really hurt...??thats would be the issue...not playbook???
LSU PLAYBOOK: THROW BALL DWN FD w/out int.

Agree that it makes sense...sort of like what Tressel did w/ Pryor.
It's painfully obvious that Miles needs to expand his options at the QB position for 2009.
Redshirting Jefferson as opposed to getting him playing time doesn't help in achieving that goal.

JJ should start at QB and Safety...

I 100% agree with that. This season is in the trash can. Time to expand the QB options for next season. If Jefferson has any chance at all of being the starter next season then he needs to start getting a lot of playing time now. The thought of going into next season with only Lee and Hatch being our experienced QB's is a scary thought.

and with shep coming in next year why do you want to save JJ?-- what if JL does not come around?- we do not want to be in the same position a year from now.

There's no way we put up 38 with Hatch or Jefferson at QB against Georgia.

Coach Guidry ive posted it so i can come back and prove you wrong...you dont recruit the number 1 qb in the state in passing yards to play wr sorry...he will play qb at lsu and all of you that are so quick to say that jj will go through the same thing as lee and that is pointless..how do you know?

I think Jefferson has earned the right to get a shot at this point. If Lee cemented himself I wouldn't want Jefferson to play, but Lee simply hasn't done that. Tulane is the perfect game for Jefferson to get some snaps.
