If you watched the game and really paid attention neither defense was stopping the other's offense. Without 17 points off turnovers we win by 3 points. So yes the defense had some problems but the quarterback has got to make better decisions and we had the ball first so on that one the defense did not put him in a bad situation he must made a bad play people and he has to learn from mistakes. Miles is probably bringing up jefferson just to let lee know hey let's get this thing fixed or we will try and get somebody who can be it jefferson or hatch.

For everyone ripping Lee, think of how bad Colt McCoy was his Freshman year at Texas and look today.

he set the record for TD passes in a year by a freshman

Oh, to go with my previous reply I too blame the D. 38 points scored should be enough to win any game. How does a D allow 34 points? Between FLA and GA our D has been exposed!

Miles wins more football games, that's why he a better coach than Saban.

Interesting choice of words. You say solid for Miles and national championship contender for Saban.

LSU isn't a national championship contender under Miles?

Miles didn't build LSU. He's talking about Miles being solid at Okie State.

Has he not kept us as a national championship contender during his 4 years here? He gets no credit for that?

Normally, I agree with most of your 40 million posts, but it does seem like Miles is making it out to be player mistakes more than anything else. He's not laying a lot of blame on coaching. He seems to think that the picks cost us the game. I know it would've helped to have them back...but our D couldn't stop Stafford and Co. I never felt comfortable with our ability to come back like I did in previous games.

LSU hired Miles to win Football games, he's done that. That's why you hire a Football coach.

Saban 'bout to lose in Baton Rouge, making the record Miles 2-0 vs. Saban.

WTF does it matter if you're behind or not. The QB's job is to control the ball, drive the field, and score.

WOW.

Your first mistake is reading Glenn Guilbeau.

And the second was actually believing it.

People, the press is there to sell papers...not to be factual.

Guilbeau framed his article to get the greatest impact and keep the flames burning. It sells media. Don't forget it.

Les was pointing out the obvious. To do anything different would not have been credible. How many points did JL's interceptions cost us? Some would say 17 (2 direct TDs and one FG on the ensuing possession). An argument can be made that it was more like 24, inasmuch as we rated to score on at least one of the possessions that were ended by the INT. In any event, Les couldn't very well ignore the contribution of those mistakes to the loss. But he also called out the defense for not playing with discipline. I suspect he knows Lee well enough to know what will motivate him and what will discourage him, and made the judgment that putting it on him to some extent will ultimately make him better.

That said, you can count on GG to take anything and spin it in a way that's potentially harmful to the LSU program. My advice: Don't read GG, or if you do, don't take him seriously.
