If his injury was affecting his performance then he shouldn't have been playing. Simple as that.
Once Brown went down, he was obviously the best option, even while injured.

Stanfield was one of my favorite Tigers!

Milam's mama has been posting left and right on how it was fun to be at LSU and how he is moving on
That is until she see's that LSU NIL money is equal to or better than MLB slot value. She'll change her mind, then he'll change his.

Hats off to all of them.....Stanfield showed his leadership last night postgame trying to lift the spirits of his teammates....
Wishing them all much success.

People keep posting this. It's a one year rental. Why would he risk his career to get the same pay he's getting starting out MLB career or even just slightly more at LSU? He's gone.
LSU going to have a really tough job replacing him in the portal. People in here suggested Ruckert at SS. That's an experiment I absolutely do not want to see right now until he proves he has a glove.

We need to see a NIL number for Milam and he needs to see if an MLb team will beat it. Right now he’s outside the MLB Pipeline 150 Draft Prospects.

All should return.
There’s just no way Curiel and Milam come back. They are ready to move onward and upward.
Stanny and Cowan could theoretically return, but only if 5 for 5 were to happen in a timely manner. Both are 4 year seniors according to the roster.
I think Stanny is gone no matter what. Cowan could come back. With the modest velo on his fastball, he’s not going to have a real shot to make it to the majors. As such, he may welcome another year of NIL and as consistent as he is, it would be good to have him back as part of a deeper staff. I doubt it happens, but who knows with college sports today.

Be happy to watch Stanny leave. Downvote away
Because you’re a casual frickhead.

Announcers said Brown will be a top 8 pick.
I like Jake and all, but no way in hell that happens.

They said Day 1 pick. Which is now the first 4 rounds. He's probably a top 80 pick. Not top 8 pick.

He turned into an automatic out by the end of the season. I'm not saying anything about his character, but he underachieved despite the injury on the baseball field. Take your morality arguments somewhere else
If other guys had stepped up more, he probably would have rehabbed longer. He came back early from injury because we needed him. Both times.
fricking idiots.

Regarding Milam...
Yes, but the caveat that I've heard is that if he hangs around, then next draft, he can start in a higher A league than he would if he went in this draft. I want whatever is best for him. He's given LSU a lot. If it works out that he comes back, that would be awesome. I think he only stands to increase his batting average and plate discipline more.

where do people come up with this shite?

Only reason for him to come back is if he's betting on himself exploding next year to the point where teams find him too good to pass up and even then, his signing bonus may still go down.
There's the reason of him just loving it here and wanting to redeem this season, but anyone with any sense around him is gonna talk him into accepting whatever offer he gets this year
